Hey guys, I've no idea, where is the right place to tell this. I'm a huge Lifehouse fan for ages and when recently I've come across the song that is completely and totally similar to "It is what is it" by Lifehouse I just couldn't keep silence. I googled the Lifehouse fans boards and decided to share this with you and ask for your reaction. the Sick Puppies song is similar, but it's not a carbon copy, and sometimes songs are bound to sound alike, so I don't see too much harm in that. And as for the other band, it's most definitely a carbon copy, and it's kinda petty they didn't credit Lifehouse, but on the other hand, these things get out and it garners attention for Lifehouse eventually, so it may not be the most decent move, it can be turned into something positive by Lifehouse fans. That's more productive than just to get angry with the band and keep saying they stole it, regardless if it is true or not. Just turn it into a pro-Lifehouse campaign

The "Whatever It Takes" rip is forgivable. The chorus is just C-G-Am-F. That's used in a ton of songs. Hell, the chorus in "It Is What It Is" is the same chord progression. I'll give that band a pass. However...the first song...wow. That's pretty blatant.

i 'disliked' the videos before they removed that. hah!
i agree, though, on how this could give some attention to lifehouse, and how they can hopefully benefit from this.

Yeah... it could be like the next Vanilla Ice or Milli Vanilli scandals. LOL Only Lifehouse will be the ones coming out smelling like a rose.  Someone should "leak" this to the press, methinks.
