Oh, nice call Breann, at the end of the song in particular, I can totally hear the similarity. It's not really obvious, but has the same type of guitar sound and beat. Regarding Here Tomorrow Gone Today... I like a nice venting song once in a while and because it IS different for Lifehouse, I think it's perfect and I agree that Jason's vocals work great on that. I keep picturing that song being played at a sporting event or something. "You got style but you got no game.... always lookin for somebody to play." Could be the next "We Will Rock You."

HAHA! That was my first thought too when I heard "By Your Side"! I think some underlying notes are similar...or some notes after the chorus and before the verse somehow always make me think of that Sting song lol. I think I can finally say that my favorites are "All In" and "Smoke & Mirrors"...or "It Is What It Is"....it's sooo hard to decide!! OMG and don't even get me started on the b-sides. It's hard to rank my favorites from there too....! I love "Nerve Damage" and think it's one of the strongest songs on the album creatively but just not a song I could repeat forever. I'm really excited to hear that one live though! Also, "Falling In" is stuck in my head A LOT. The lyrics are so cute and catchy haha. I just can't describe how much I'm loving their new album! Been listening non-stop.

I like to think of 'Here Tomorrow, Gone Today' as the new 'Just Another Name'. You know, because of it being about Jessica Simpson LOL

It Is What It Is and All That I'm Asking For. I really dig the background/harmony vocals, reminding me of Broken.

I remember Jason saying (or joking perhaps) that JAN is about Jessica Simpson. And listening to HTGT, I get a feeling it is about a person like her as well

I went for "All In" and "Wrecking Ball", just because every time I hear those two, I get goosebumps because they make me think of those amazing Lifehouse gigs two weeks ago (L)

here tomorrow gone today for the win:-) it gives me the feeling of someone always promising to be there..but never shows up..as in I'll be here tomorrow I promise, but he/ she is never there when you need them most.( but that's just my interpretation)

In your skin sounds old school lifehouse Definately! I was listening to the cd again last night and realized I REALLY like In Your Skin as well and that it is such a typical Lifehouse song.

Now that the touring for the Smoke and Mirrors album is winding down and the guys are back in the studio again for their next album, I thought this may be a good time to reflect a bit on this album I wonder whether anyone's opinion has changed since the album release. Mine has a bit. I started out really loving It Is What It Is. But right now, I still think it's a pretty good song, but for me it's not spectacular anymore. All That I'm Asking For has grown on me a lot. I didn't like it all that much in the beginning, but the more I listen to it, the more I like it. And I really, really, really like it now (probably because of the lyrics). My fave of this album has got to be Don't Wake Me When It's Over. I like how the lyrics are open to interpretation. It kind of keeps you guessing what it is about exactly. It's intriguing, interesting and sounds amazing all at the same time. Great song!

My favorite song is easy: All In! This song gives so many energy. All In was my favorite song of Smoke & Mirrors from the start. On 2nd place; Nerve Damage, not the 2nd place in the beginning, but later for me, especially when I heard it live

*sees that I've never picked some songs*
Hm, my fav. song after touring is HTGT, but I always liekd that song a lot, but the live energy was just awesome. 2nd and 3rd place are DWMWIO and Smoke & Mirrors (or the other way around).
