so you know the 80s = Michael Jackson, 90s = Nirvana
00s = Radiohead?
I think my artist of the decade belongs to Sigur Ros. just 4 great albums and the fact that they shift'd my musical taste.

The 2000's started off a bit rough. Nu Metal was king and a bunch of disposable shit would be at the top of the charts. Classics like R.E.M., Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, and U2 all continued to release quiality music. There hasn't been much for bands that could be considered "classic" like those acts. I think Kings of Leon, My Morning Jacket, and Coldplay could be up to it, but that would be about it.
Between all of those acts there has been even more disposable stuff like the Nickelback, Hinder, and Fall Out Boy's of the world. However, they will soon fade away and be looked upon like Nu Metal and Hair Metal.

did you ever get into the post-punk revival movement? Interpol, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, ect. They were pretty popular when they all released their debut. not so much anymore.

Franz Ferdinand is still doing pretty well.. I'll have to gather my thoughts before I can capture my images of the 2000s

I really enjoyed the first FF album, but haven't seen much as of late to give me faith in them. I'd say I should probably add The Strokes to the list as bands that could be around for a while.

It was also the revival era for Britpop, with bands like Keane, The Kooks, Air Traffic, Razorlight, The Hoosiers, etc. Which was fun for awhile but got a little too much of the same after awhile

so I'm not planning on making a song list, but I was thinking of a bunch of songs from this decade. It's hard for me cuz i stopped listening to radio, but this decade lacked 1 hit wonder. but i remembered i used to be obsessed with this song More to Life by Stacie Orrico. It made me cheerful everytime. also this song by O-Town. typical boyband ballad...but its umm, well at least the chorus..it's easy to remember. DJ Sammy - HeavenI didn't know this song was a cover. It brings back memories when I re-discovered it this week. one fad I'm glad didn't stay around was the Simple Plan/Good Charlotte type of bands. God i couldn't stand them.
