Hi everyone. Karla asked me to start this thread for her. Her uncle had to go to the ER earlier today and was unresponsive, and he died later this evening. That's all the information I have at the moment, but if everyone could please say a prayer or two for Karla and her family, I know she would really appreciate it.

<3 Thanks. y'all it means a lot. My cousin (his daughter) is staying with us until the service on Saturday. I have been trying to keep her entertained the best I can and all. This is just really, really, hard. He died on her 17th birthday. So so heartbreaking!

Yesterday was the day of the service. It was well put together and the preacher was great; he told stories about my uncle rebuilding parts of the church after the aftermath of hurricanes etc..
All great stuff. We were all deeply saddened still though. You see, my Uncle had problems with drugs, and it finally all caught up to him. This is why I'm going to be going to school to be an addictions social worker. I've seen way too many lives damaged and too many taken. BUT the preacher made a good point when he said that my uncle no longer had to suffer with his problems, which is true. Now, I guess I can finally say it... RIP Uncle Vince... at 44 years of age...
