 first single = Closer to Loveso his new album City of Black & White leaked a few days ago. I like it, but I like Nothing Left to Lose better. He doesn't do the spoken word stuff as much and I feel that the sound has a more friendly sound. anyone else have thoughts? |

i haven't listened to the leak but i like the first single. i wasn't crazy about the spoken word stuff on the last album so maybe i'll like this one better?

I really like the first single... I'm looking forward to the album. The video is interesting too.

He doesn't do the spoken word stuff as much and I feel that the sound has a more friendly sound. anyone else have thoughts? I absolutely love this CD. It has made me into a fan of his big time. I can listen to this CD and find new things all of the time. It's just pleasant to my ears and thought provoking and hopeful. It's just what I need right now. I'm not really a connosieur of music, but this CD is well worn and I don't think I'm ever going to get sick of hearing these songs. I am having a hard time picking favorite songs because I like them all. He seems to have some signature singing style developing and I like it. I saw him live on the Tonight Show and I was impressed with the band and his vocals live. I'd like to see him in concert. I have to thank you for posting this here because I'm not sure I would have checked him out otherwise and I'm super glad I did. So thanks! ;D |

I love this album! I have a chance to see him live, in November. But I won't be able to do it. Wish it was on a Saturday

I prefer this one.
Songs like Lifeline, New York to California or City of black and white are great tunes.
