Hah, yes! I finally get to make one of these threads! How is everyone's April shaping up to be? I made cookies this evening ^-^ There are photos up on my blog. Also, I went back to the shrink for the first time in a couple of months. He reckons I don't need to keep coming back because I've gotten better all by myself Hopefully I can keep this up for the rest of the year and not burn out again.

I just got a call from my mom back home that my cat that i've had since i was 3 died today. i'm beyond distraught and what makes it worse is that i'm here alone. i can't believe he's gone, i loved him so much. i've just never felt this empty before and i don't know what to do. it may sound stupid to some to get this upset over an animal, but i don't remember a time without him. my earliest memories are when we went over my grandma's and got him and his sister from a litter an alley cat had in my grandma's house. this just could not have happened at a worse time, i'm beyond exhausted and frustrated with my school work, i'm stressed out, and really on the brink of losing it.
anyway, i'm just asking for your prayers, for me, my family, and Boots. We all loved him very much.

I'm so sorry Maureen I know how you feel and if you want to talk to me I'm here. You might won't believe it now, but one day you will feel better. It's now a bit over a year that Tiger passed away and every now and then I still cry when I think about him, but it got better in the last few months and I can finally also think about the good times without starting to cry every time. You lost a beloved family member so take all the time that you need. I'll keep you and your little Boots in my thoughts and prayers *bighug*

Cry as much as you need to, you need to let it out. I'm sure Boots knows how much you love him, you can say still goodbye to him. I'm still talking every day with Tiger, I have many pcitures of him here and his Urn by my bed and I tell him every night good night and that I love and miss him.ö

Yesterday, after bathing Aramis, he ripped one of his claws off and it didn't stopped to bleed, all over the house was his blood so I called the vet and had to bandage the wound. It stopped to bleed after some time and we had to take the bandage off again so the wound could get air. About 11pm it started to bleed like hell, his bed was full of blood, so we drove to the vet and she took care of him. As the vet told a dog can't bleed to death from a claw, but it was really scary and everthing was full of blood, his bed, the carpet, our clothes. Poor baby But at least he wasn#t in pain, because once the claw is off a dog doesn't feels pain anymore. So I guess it was worse for us then for Aramis. I'm glad that at our Animal Hospital has 24/7 someone at the clinic.

So I finally made the transition of wearing contact lenses. took me an hour to learn how to stick that thingy in my eye. my eyes are small (lol asian) and my latches kept touching it causing the lenses to flip out.
