Has anyone heard it? I think it is due out next week. Usually there's a leak by now. I just pre-ordered it through Amazon and was curious if anyone had heard it yet.

Great album. It's pretty mellow. There are really only about 3 real "rockers" on the album, but it is one hell of a listen. You can hear the Daniel Lanois influence in the songs.

Rocco is going to be in Houston next Wednesday night with HoneyHoney....I was planning on going just to see Ben & Suzanne perform again, but have never been exposed to Rocco DeLuca's music (either live or CD).
What can I expect......from Rocco -- if you don't mind giving me a Rocco crash course.
Also, yesterday morning (I think-could have been Friday), one of the radio morning shows said that he was going to perform on one of the late night talk shows. In any case, I missed it -- maybe one of you caught it since you are fans. I'll search for it and see if I can find it.

he is played on jay leno last night I believe...it should be up on youtube soon. a crash course on Rocco... well, haha. if you do see him live, he is full of passion, and emotion. he puts everything he's got into every song he preforms. yes, the album "Mercy" is pretty mellow, but dont expect the show to be. one of the things I love about his live shows is that he never plays a song the same way. he is always experimenting with different sounds on stage and his shows feel less "scripted" than any other band ive ever seen. i saw him in san jose last summer, and they literally had to force him off the stage because he just kept playing. he really puts on amazing shows and if you have the chance to see him, you should...its definitely an experience and if you have the chance to meet him after the show, he is such a great person and a joy to have a conversation with. hope you end up going to the show. let us know how it is if you do!

THANK YOU! I'm pretty sure I'll end up going...gotta snatch a kid to go with me, but I don't think that'll be a problem since both of mine enjoyed HoneyHoney a lot last year and would like to see them again. We'll be vacationing for Spring Break about an hour away, but it's not too bad of a drive....so, I am most definitely planning on heading back in town for it. I've also been itching to see the new Houston HOB -- so, I'll get to do that too. Thanks for giving me the scoop. Between now and then, I'll work to try to get to know his music -- kind of a pre-requisite for me before seeing anybody. Can you recommend some of your favorite tracks of his (that he's likely to play in concert)? Since it's only a week, maybe I better focus I'm actually really excited about seeing Ben and Suzanne again.

im glad you will be going!! since the new album just came out, he will probably play most of those songs (Nightingale, i trust you to kill me, open pages, save yourself, mercy, when you learn to sing) . but some old favorites he most likely will do... "swing low", "colorful", "dope", and "gift". as far as my favorites, I really love "how many times", "bus ride", "soul", and off the new album i really like "the painting", and "point of view"
have fun seeing honeyhoney..they are great as well, as you know!
