so i realized that i forgot that this board was on my sites to go on, on a daily basis... i feel so bad that i keep neglecting  i really need to get back into my groove... this year has just been up and down so far... my mom stopped talking to me when she found out i was gay (if you didn't know, now you do :-P) and then i've just been stuck in a load of drama... and then idk i've just been a mess but i'm working on it and i'm gonna try and stick to checking out this board at least a couple times per week again i really missed it here  Love, Chris |

Welcome back, Chris. It's funny that you post this today, I actually just reappeared for the first time in several months as well... I used to check it every day, but I got out of the habit. I feel bad for neglecting it also :-(
Sorry about everything you've been dealing with with, especially your mom... that happened to one of my best friends last year, but eventually she became more accepting. Here's to hoping your mom reaches the same point!

Aw, Chris, I, too, have been a little more MIA than usual. I have been so busy with grad school! I'm glad you came out to your mom! That took a lot of courage on your part! Hopefully, she will realize that sexual orientation is not who you are; it's a mere part of you! Hope things get better soon!

i dont understand your mom at all. you're still the same person she's always known... it's not up to her to decide who you like. well i hope she'll get over it. and if not, well at least you stood up for yourself and didnt hide the truth. |

From another mom....it's hard sometimes for a parent, when they've imagined things ONE way, to grasp that things are different than they imagined. This applies in many situations.
Having said that ... the fact that your Mom is communicating with you on some level is a huge step and makes it sound promising that the two of you will get back to where you were.
