Hey B-sides!
Music enthusiast have taken my daughter hostage and won't let her go until I make a list of the best album of the '00 decade. I didn't start digging deeper into music until 2-3 years ago so I'm completely clueless. I know I could just google "best albums of 2000" but those are usually critics list and I'm sure there's tons more I'm missing out on.
So yeah, post anything that you feel was amazing that came out in 2000. next month, another year, another list..and I'll keep going until we run out of years.
So far I got: x. Lifehouse - No Name Face 1. The New Pornographers - Mass Romantic 2. At The Drive-In - Relationship of Command 3. Radiohead - Kid A 4. Gorky's Zygotic Mynci - The Blue Trees 5. Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antarctica 6. Aimee Mann - Bachelor No. 2 7. Grandaddy - The Sophtware Slump 8. Idlewild - 100 Broken Windows 9. Badly Drawn Boy - The Hour of Bewilderbeast 10. Requiem For a Dream OST 11. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven 12. The Wallflowers - Breach 13. Animal Collective - Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished 14. Jets to Brazil - Four Cornered Night 15. múm - Yesterday Was Dramatic – Today Is OK 16. M2M - Shades of Purple
LOL@bad list. Help me expand.
Your turn.

I'll just stick to a couple albums, no particular order.
The Better Life 3 Doors Down Telling Stories Tracy Chapman Look Away + 4 The Apples in Stereo Maybe I'll Catch Fire Alkaline Trio Engines of Creation Joe Satriani Lost Souls The Doves (one of my favorites of the year) Hot Rail Calexico (not their best album though) The Madding Crowd Nine Days (their best known, yet not their best album) The ConstruKction of Light King Crimson Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant Belle & Sebastian (can't beat Sinister or Storytelling though) Music At Work Tragically Hip (one of my favorites of the year) De Stijl White Stripes (my fav. WS album) Fortress Sister Hazel (though I don't think it'll be your favorite) Somewhere To Elsewhere Kansas Rancid Rancid (I found myself surprised that I really liked it) Felt Mountain Goldfrapp (I really don't care for this band apart from this album) 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage Cold Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea PJ Harvey The Perfect Element Pain of Salvation (another surprise appearance) Spiritual Machines Our Lady Peace (it's a concept album, but has some of their best songs)
and maybe you would enjoy Neil Finn's live album, but I dunno.. I usually avoid live and compilation albums in these lists.

but M2M is sugary sweetness. I like baby voices for some reason.
