It is. About an hour out from Melbourne is the furthest part, I believe.
The biggest fire is still an hour, 20 minutes away from us.
I got a really massive scare. A suburb right near my boyfriend had a couple of fires, as well as the suburb which my father currently works in.

There was a small, quickly-contained fire in my boyfriend's suburb yesterday.
The fires are actually so close that if the wind is right, you can smell the smoke.
It's cleared up a bit this afternoon, but yesterday, the sky was full of smog and the sky turned orange. It remained that way til this morning.
=\ I hope no more casualties come out of this. 10 children and 170+ adults is already too many.
