Hi Everyone !! Sad news... I took my digital camera out in the rain and broke it I am planning on buying a new camera sometime soon and was hoping you could give me some suggestions. I want the new camera to - take good concert pictures and videos- focus fairly easily - not be gigantic I figured I'd ask here, seeing as how a lot of the pictures/videos on the board are awesome Thank you. Thank you.

I have a Panasonic Lumix that I've had for quite a few years now. It's pretty good. Just doesn't have a manual view finder.

i still love my Canon powershot SD750 that i bought last summer. last i checked it was still in stores (for way cheaper than i paid) but it may have been replaced now with an updated model. my sisters just got the 1100 models for Christmas but i haven't gotten the chance to play around with them yet. my mom has a Sony Cybershot but i haven't really been impressed with the way that it's held up. so my vote is for a Canon. the majority of the time i shoot in automatic mode and the shots turn out great. for concerts i turn up the ISO and the flash off and am ready to go. at 2 or 3 shows i've had trouble with those blur/glare things you get from the stage lighting and i've also had some trouble in really dark venues but i think that's an issue for any point and shoot camera. i've always been impressed with the videos i've gotten at concerts, the sound on the video is sometimes better than it was in person.

i also have had canon powershots, and like them. i want to get a canon SLR, but that's probably too big for what you want.
