I took some pictures of it...boring maybe to you, but this in Moorhead, you can consider this our hurricane/earthquake! OMG, they just put a message out on the radio that if you go outside and travel, you will die! Now I'm scared!  There is no way I can get to work today! Please, do not go out there! Yikes! Stay bundled up and post the pics if you have a chance. Are you keeping power so far? |

I had a massive relapse today. I got back my VCE results (kinda like the SAT, but not) and I did... well, not poorly, but certainly worse than I expected. And finding out that my friend got a perfect 50 in the same subjects pretty much, that just put me right back on knife edge. And the worst part is that it was for pretty much nothing. None of the old reasons caused this new moment of self-destructive thinking. It was just a long-ingrained sense of self-hatred.
Of course, being who he is, my boyfriend spent several hours convincing me to not jump off a bridge. And right after I logged off MSN, I mindlessly wandered into the bathroom, pulled out my stash of emo weaponry, and rolled up my sleeves. But that's where the mindless ends. I ended up resisting the temptation to slice the f*** out of my arm, simply because of a promise I've made to stop self-harming. But realising how close I came was just... mind-blowing.
So that really scares me. Such a little thing, put me in hospital twice and is now bleeding my family dry in bills meant to keep me sane. Apparently, sanity isn't an option for me anymore. Or at least, not one I can easily afford.
I am now seriously considering skipping university and going straight into an asylum. Therapy doesn't seem to be helping. These moods are getting more and more unpredictable. And even though I don't have that voice in my head telling me to kill myself anymore, it makes it all the worse because that urge is now my personal one. I can't trust that next time I'm hit with it, I'll come back out of it.
Sorry all my posts lately have been so depressing.
I'll try to keep you guys updated on what's happening. Just lately, I've been losing my mind faster and faster. I'm not entirely sure how much control I'll have left, for how long.

^^^good luck. truly. i had a friend go through seemingly exactly what youre going through. she decided to not go to college as well, didnt check into an asylum, but got some serious help and seems to be much healthier because of it. i wish you all the best and please do keep us posted.
in other news, i am coming down with a head cold. bah! i hate colds. i refuse to leave my bed. even though its already 2:15 here. oh man.... at least school is out and hopefully this will be gone by christmas.

I'm off to Europe tomorrow morning!! My family and I are going to Prague to see my sister whom I haven't seen in about 4 months because she's been studying abroad over there. We're going to spend a few days in Prague, then head over to Poland for about a day, and then go to Ukraine (where I'm orginally from) for a few days. Should be an exciting way to end December. I won't be back until NYE, so I hope everyone has an amazing holiday season, and a very happy new year!!!   |

It's a possibility I might be doing a spring break study abroad to France (Lyon/Roanne, specifically). I have been afraid to tell anyone about it in case things fall through. I have bad luck, and I don't want to jinx it, but I decided to say something anyway. It was sort of on topic. lol.

aww maureen, that sucks... my friend is supposed to be flying home from spain today, but we're supposed to get a ton of snow, so i dunno... my mom got sent home from work early cuz it's supposed to be pretty bad...
