Yay or Nay!: removing genres on infobox for wiki--

So I though this was interesting. Has anyone notice that wikipedia is removing genres on the infoboxes? I've always found those to be useful whenever someone namedrops a band and I want quick/fast info on them....wikipedia has a simple umbrella term. Like it saves me time when someone recommends a band that is shoegaze or Drone. (bad examples). but yeah...now, I'm not a member of the wikipedia community, so i'm not sure what exactly is the big deal, but it looks like for certain band, there's an edit war on the genres so someone was like, "let's just get rid of it, the articles themselves should give the answers anyways." so i dont know if this is final, but if it is.

I'm for it, sometimes it keeps on changing which is just annoying

I don't see how different things would be if it's taken off or not. It's not like we don't have Last FM or any other site categorizing them in a particular genre... or similar bands in that genre.

Having it there certainly wouldn't hurt either I suppose.
