So I jsut got back, Ashlyn dropped me off and now hse is on her way home, but the show was amazing! The weather was rather windy and slightly overcast as night rolled around, but it was still super duper amazing. there were also tons of people. ok, mini-review: First of all, Jason seemed really into the crowd and it seemed like he was comfortable like he ususally isn't. Kinda hard to explain, but he was very talkative and into making little yell things between songs and like he was getting really into the songs. The encore they played Broken and they did the "extended" version and at the end Jason was literally so into it that he fell to his knees as he was still playing and ending the songs... seriously it was so moving. They had a lot of "break downs" i guess you could call it throughout the setlist where they would all jsut start jamming and it was so cool! OH! and for First Time, Jason didn't have a guitar for the beginning and he ended up coming into the crowd and going up on the barricade and singing a verse and such and just hanging out down bwlow then he rushed back up and Winnie handed him his guitar and they finished the song with him playing as well. Afterwards the guys came out but there was so manby little 10 year old girls who were acting like they were NSYNC that they didnt stay out for long and Jason actually was out for probably less than a minute then went back in and left with Breadan. Alright setlist then i will try to post a few pics and allow Ash to continue on: spin hbma whatever it takes aiegfo somewhere inbetween who we are better luck next time the joke empty space bridges take me away storm disarray you and me first time broken oh! ill let ash tell his anecdotes about SIB and Better Luck Next Time. ooooo! one last thing! they arent opening for hillary duff! Ben said they cancelled. bahahhaa! ;D ;D

i loved the talk between songs. especially what he said about somewhere in between(let's just say....he gave some advice on how to attract the ladies. lol) and better luck next time. when he was walkign around during first time i actually had NO idea where he was because i'm short and i couldn't see through the crowd. grrrrr. i also loved how they let bryce sing some of the main vocals in the chorus (i have a terrible memory and can't remember which song it was. i want to say it was who we are) and OMG. those girls waiting were ANNOYING. so i just left.
and they cancelled? bwhahah! hmmm....i have a bunch of photos to edit, so i'll come back with those and with more to say. right now my throat hurts like hell. ha.
oh btw, allie - i *think* i saw you but wasn't sure if that was you? did you climb over to try to see the stage?[/

AH! I'm so jealous! It sounds like it was such a great show. It's cool that Jason came down into the crowd and I can't imagine how intense Broken must have been. The Hilary Duff thing is pretty funny, haha. Thanks for the review! I can't wait to see pictures.

k, so i'm hyped up on 3 cups of coffee tonight, so i'll add. First of all, I met a really nice girl named April in line. She and her mom just let me join them in line even though there were like 10 people behind them. hehehe. So, she and I crawled up an embankment and through bushes to watch soundcheck. They did TAke Me Away, Dissarray, Bridges, and AIEGFO. We were all the way on the opposite side of the stadium, so no pix. Anyways, we RAN into the arena as soon as they opened the doors. Unfortunately, there were people waiting on the other side too, so as i'm running in, I see them coming in, so i have to sprint to get to the front before them. We ended up being b/w Jason and Bryce. So, no opener, thank you Lord. We made friends w/the security. Oh, when April and I were watching soundcheck, the head of security was driving by on a golf cart, and told us he had just met them, and they were the nicest guys he'd ever met. he said he'd been doing shows there for a long time, and they were genuinely nice. I said, yeah, they are all really humble. Back to show. We talked to Winnie for a sec while he was putting up set list. We talked about how freezing we were. We both had on capris (well, his were long shorts, but hte same thing). Show starts at 7:30. THank the Lord security said no one coulod stand against the barrier, so people had to stay at their seats. heheheh, no one pushing me! So, I REALLY REALLLY love all the arrangements they are doing. I don't speak music, so in my terms, all these new beats and twists, and jams (AIEGFO) are freaking amazing. Bryce just jumps around and stands on the drum stage. I love it. His hair was blowing crazy in the win. He was wearing a Mr. Bill or something shirt. Its that stick figure guy. Jason was wearing dark jeans. I haven't seen him wear jeans in a loooooooooong time. So, they seemed really happy, saying, "how you guys doing tonight?" Bryce into-ing the band. Jason saying he was born in Camarillo...asking some girl in the crowd if he went to High school w/her, and saying Hi, how are you? to me and allie. yay! He talked about how BLNT was about a marriage counselor and not his dad, def not about his dad. He said SIB was written in his 82 dodge pickup for a girl he liked, but she said, "I love you...as a friend." But then he played her this song, and she changed her mind. So, guys, if you have no game, write them a song. Storm was freaking amazing. He looked at me and sang, "Everything will be alright." chills. Def tears in his eyes. First time, he has the mike only, we're like Quazi? So, he sings w/Quasi like finesse, then runs down to the front, climbs on the barrier. girls have their hands all over him. security pulls him down. then he runs back up. I didn't feel like he was as into Broken in the beginning, but at the end the man fell to his knees. ARe you freaking kidding me? yes, he did. After the show, rick came out first, but I was looking over to see if the other guys were out, so i missed him. Then Bryce came over and I got him to take a picture w/Brenda, this girl in a wheelchair who really moved me. She was crying b/c she said she wished she could walk and stand like the other girls. I told her she will walk in eternity. Tears. So Bryce was sooooooooooooooo sweet and talked and took a pic w/her. He jumped over the fence to get to her. Then Ben came over and asked how we were doing. I asked him if he felt the earthquake but he said they weren't in town. In the middle of this Jason comes out, gets mobbed, so goes back in. darnit. Then 10 mins later he gets in car w/Braedon and leaves. We saw Jenn (so cute i freaking love that girl). and rick's mom w/a bunch of people. so i drove allie home. that tis all my friends! i didnt take pix cuz i ain't got no digital. there was a professional photog there, so hopefully pix will surface.

first of all - i come back bearing visuals Flickr Linki took my big nikon with me today (since it's a fair and they're not so anal about cameras and such) so i got some good stuff. yay (sorry about the watermarks, it's kind of instinct for me to put them on when i post photos, and well, that's what i did) more to say - left later than i'd anticipated, and then hit a bunch of traffic on the way up (it's supposed to take about an hour and 15 min, it ended up taking about 2), so i showed up right around 4-ish...as we were walking from the parking lot to the gate, we heard take me away, so i was like "oh, so they're doing soundcheck right now." my original plan was to walk around, eat fatty fair food and such before i got in line, but since were came later, we just grabbed some funnel cake and went over into the stage area. i couldn't figure out how to get to the entrance at first, and i spotted the bus so i asked one of the security people over there how to get to the entrance and he looked at me weird and went "you know the show doesn't start until 7:30, right?" um, yes, i knew that, thank you very much. waited in line for what seemed like a while...we'd gotten there at just the right time because there was room for us to sit on this ledge. if we got there 10 minutes later, we would be on the floor (on the flip side, if we got there 10 minutes earlier, we would've been able to wait in chairs!) around 6-ish, they started letting us in...the funny thing is, my friend had to pee really really bad...the people in front of us went to ask what time they were going to open the gate, and they said in 20 minutes, so my friend decided to go to the bathroom. but right when she left, they opened the gate. oops. i ended up being about 6 rows back on the left side of the stage because a) i'm slow, b) i have short legs, and c) i did something stupid. oops. it was fine, though. happy that there was no opening band! started off with spin...i think it's an awesome opener, it's high-energy and it sounds awesome live. unfortunately, i don't think a lot of people were into it...i dunno if it's because they've never heard of it or whatever....me and my friend were the only people standing up in our section during that song, and bryce looked at us and nodded at us. cool. HBAM....the crowd gets into that one. jason put out the mic to the crowd so they could sing part of it and they were rusty...so he was like "don't any of you know this song?" lol. around that time, people strarted getting up and stuff....i'm really short so when that happens, I CAN'T SEE. my solutin was to stand up on the chair. it was quite a sight with me on my chair with my big 'ol camera. ha! security eventually told me to get down, though and i was like "dude, me on this chair is only a teeny bit taller that the big tall guy in front of me." ha. i think whatever it takes is aweome live...espeically when he sings the "ba ba ba" part and gets really into it.....AIEGFO sounded really great. i agree with ashlyn, the arrangements really sounded awesome (i know i'm using that word too much, but bear with me). jason's anecdote before somewhere in between was hilarious. because my memory is terrible (and probably because it's almost 4am here and i really should be in bed), i can't remember which song it was - it was either the joke, better luck next time, or who we are - bryce sang the main part of the vocals int he chorus, while jason backed him up....that was cool. empty space sounded amazing....it really lets jason's vocals shine. i got really excited when they srarted to play take me away for some reason and the guy behind me was like "geez" but hey, it sounded good. lol. i was kinda disappointed that they didn't have beast of burden in the set, but storm sounded amaaaazing (he got quite emotional) so no complaints. i just would've looooved to see beast of burden live. oh well. maybe next time. i was happy that they played disarray, because they didn't play uit last time i went (the goo goo dolls in june), and i love that song. sounded awesome! by then my voice was pretty messed up from screaming and singing so when we were cheering for the encore, i let out some pretty horrible sounds. lol. by now, security wasn't caring who was standing in the aisles or who was standing where, so everyone was everywhere and i couldn't see AGAIN. so i got back up on my chair....a bunch of people in front of me ran out into the "pit," so i went a few rows down and stood on a chair down there. you&me sounded great, everyone went crazy fdor that. the way they did first time was fun...although when jason went into the crowd i had NO idea where the heck he was. ha. broken was just incredible at the end. he was on his knees at the end....wow. i wish i got that on film, but by then i'd put my camera away so that i could just enjoy the end. afterwards, we camped out by the bus....but the teenybopper girls were annoying the crap out of me (they kept screaming "i freaking love you jason, you're so hot blah blah blah." ugh. they were REALLY annoying)... and my 2 other friends wanted to leave. oh well. all in all an amazing night! sorry for the rambling! off to sleep i go!

aw this show sounded awesome! that's a pretty impressive setlist, how many performers were there or was LH the highlight of the night?? Because it sounds like they totally owned it.
I'm glad to hear the guys were 100% into their performance, and doing all that ad-libbing, I would have died to see that! They did Broken amazing at the Goos show I saw, but I don't think to the same extent. I guess it's always different when teh guys are doing a show for themselves. I would have loved to see Jason open that way too, sounds awesome. I love how Jason just challenges the crowd these days, "doesn't anyone know this song?" haha. He did that at the show I went to -- "you guys can dance if you want, you know... don't be shy". I think it's good for him to get some ego.
Sorry to hear that they weren't out for long after the show, I think I might have had to go all ninja style on those 10 year olds.... but that's just me.
