I hate that you guys are having to do that... yeah....and they probably should've posted it earlier, because i'm sure there are some very POed fans who went to the concord show yesterday and found out that LH wasn't playing. |

Lifehouse doesn't really control the website, so I'm pretty sure that the notice/taking away the dates was done by Geffen or the people they hire to do the website. But yeah, a little notice & explanation would've been nice. I understand, since the show itself hasn't been canceled that they might not have felt it would be so important, but for the fans who bought tickets, it is somewhere between slightly annoying and something to absolutely freak out about. I messaged some people on Last.FM that I noticed were going to those shows (primarily) for Lifehouse, so that they could do something about it if they wanted to.
And about the reasoning behind it, we can only speculate, but I wouldn't be surprised if they realized it wasn't really worth it (both in the amount of people/different demographics & financially)

I was listening to the radio earlier and the dj said the band coming up next was supposed to open for Hilary Duff lastnight in Concord, but didn't show up. Then when she played the song, she said again they were supposed to open for Hilary Duff, but canceled with no explanation. Said she was bummed because she really wanted to see them.
I was like "STOP ANNOUNCING THAT LIFEHOUSE WAS GOING TO OPEN FOR HILARY DUFF!"

(i totally read your post wrong at first and thought you said Hilary said all that lol) I hope they don't get a bad rep as a band that doesn't show up to concerts.  I agree, a little earlier warning and an explanation would have been nice. I want to believe that it was Geffen's decision to cancel and told the band when they were far away from computers and couldn't update, or something like that. |

I think in the end the decision is probably a right one. Just the way of going about it is kinda weird. Maybe another opportunity came up that they could do something very cool and they want to keep it a surprise. I don't know, but we'll see.

I'm really happy they're not with HD anymore, but like everyone else, I really hope there's some explanation as to why they didn't inform anyone ahead of time.
If they just backed out 'cause it was a crappy tour and did nothing for them, let me just be immature for a second and say, "Duh."

I know I'm a bit late, but I don't have currently much time to be online....Everyone that got tickets to one of the show has the right to be pissed about it, first we're shoked and embarrassed that they tour with HD, but hey it's LH so the LH fans want to see them and get tieckets and now from one minute to anohter it's cancelled.  In the first place they should have never get them together, just a very bad decision, so I am happy about the cancelling, even if I#m sad for the fans that got already tickets.

I'm late too, Minka, but I just had to say.. how interesting. Happened by the main website before I stopped here this morning to check to see if they posted any new dates first and saw that before I came here. Its too bad, but just wasn't a good idea in the first place anyway. I hate it the most for fans like Cayte and Koen! Have you been able to sell the tickets yet??

hey elissa.  no, we haven't been able to sell them yet. i have them up on stubhub.com, and i posted about them on hilary duff message boards, myspace, facebook, craigslist... one girl was interested, but then realized that someone wouldn't drive her all the way there for balcony seats. so, keep your fingers crossed! |

. I'd also like to know if anybody has an HD copy of Lifehouse at Pinkpop 2003. BY far their best concert ever
