I feel bad for any LH fans who bought tickets, but at the same time, I am so HAPPY they canceled! Did Ben happen to say why they canceled? don't know if allie posted it in the ventura thread, but ben said they cancelled all Hillary dates.

don't know if allie posted it in the ventura thread, but ben said they cancelled all Hillary dates. Oh, wow...man that's... I really, really hope there was a good reason for that, other than our discontent. Because to just cancel at the last minute like that isn't cool. I mean, I'm glad that we aren't playing Hilary...I'm just not happy that they canceled and didn't say anything.

So it looks like they did one show on the 6th in Washington and then canceled the rest. Way to go Lifehouse! I can't believe they were put in this position in the first place!

It's like Lifehouse/Geffen (I really don't know who's pulling the strings on everything, so I'll just make it one in this context) keep flipflopping between decisions. I really don't understand what's going on. Maybe next time they can make up their mind first, before making a decision

hmm... well in a way i'm kind of sad but i'm also kind of happy too, lol. would have been nice to see them and hopefully meet them again, but i'd rather do that at their own show, and esp not opening for her. but yeah it does suck since we already bought tickets. are we 100% sure they aren't going to open? i don't want them to go back and add the dates again. so if they really won't be here, i'm going to try to sell our tickets.

I really would love to get the scoop on what happened here. Was the first show they did such a bad experience that the guys said no way are we doing this again, or what?

Wow... I'm kind of shocked that they played one show and decided to back out. I'd love to know what happened in that first show that made them realize "woah, bad decision". Apparently it didn't sell many tickets in the first place so they weren't getting much out of it anyways. It's just not cool to back out at the last minute :/ I'm not sure which is worse: playing with Hilary Duff in the first place or cancelling with no notice.

he didn't say why. we tried to pry, but he just said it was canceled. Winnie was wearing a HD all access pass, though.

Haha, I find that rather amusing that Winnie was wearing the pass.
Hmmm...I'm really curious as to why. I mean, it's kinda bizzare to cancel 5 shows...
Ahh! I have just been on the Hilary Duff Official Site, and all the shows that Lifehouse was originally opening for have now been changed so they start Half an hour early. And that was altered on 8/03/2007. Interesting...

Oh man, that totally sucks they canceled all the dates!
I really didn't give a sh*t if they were opening for HD, I mean, the combination is retarded without doubt -- but they're opening not dancing on stage with her, so I wouldn't have minded checking them out at the beginning.
But to cancel like that, with no word to the fans? Not even a subtle email? I can understand if they think the sudden change is embarrassing when they had just announced the pairing, but they should still let the fans know. If not, how many people here would have gone to the show, NOT see Lifehouse there, and then get VERY pissed???
Best of luck selling those tickets.

wow. the stuff with LH has just been o weird lately. i've acually been backing away from the board here for awhile because of it all. it just keeps getting worse. there's definitely got to be a story behind all this. but i don't know if i really want to know. sorry to all those who bought tix already. that really sucks! hope you can sell them.

Things have been really weird lately... it worries me. Things I NEVER thought they would do keep happening - it's very strange. It's certainly not like them to cancel shows, not tell anyone and not give any kind of reason.
Good luck selling the tickets guys :/

i think they played 2 shows before cancelling. i guess they probably weren't getting anything out of it? i remember seeing a review posted somewhere about the HD show, and it said that the area was barely 25% full and that there were a bunch of 8 to 10 year old girls with their parents.....and that pretty much none of them had heard of LH.\ i noticed that they posted on the official site that they cancelled the rest and "sorry for the inconvenienece." i'm kinda happy that they're not opening for her anymore.....but that sucks for y'all that had tickets though...sorry
