lol, from what I've heard it seems like the type of situation where people will honk at everyone for no reason, haha. Or no apparent reason, anyway. Like, "Hey, you turned left!" *HONK!* haha
I never even thought about going to Salem so close to Halloween! Now I'm looking forward to it more than I was, haha. I've always wanted to go there.

August is going to busy/stressful yet fun at the same time for me. Summer camps end the 22nd, but the last two weeks are going to be field trips with 80+ kids three times a week. That should be interesting. Then the last two days of August I have a music fest to go to! YAY

hey katelyn.. what kinda job are you looking for? my degree is in biology so i have a lot of options. i don't know whether i want to go to grad school for molecular or ecological/evolutionary research so i'm trying to find something to help me decide. i'd love to find something that involved both field and lab research in my area but it'd also be cool to travel somewhere and do something really different (like, study sea turtles in the caribbean or something). i've been researching a lot which i should have started doing awhile ago but i was having some health issues (nothing serious) so i'm a little behind. i'll let you guys know when i find something

I'm depressed this August, too, but hey, I've got a cure: each year I go on vacation at the end of Summer, end of August, or beginning of September, and this time it will be... CANADA! I'm going to spend 3 weeks with my Lifehousefans friend Dyta in Toronto Nice LHF vacation, right?

Going to Osheaga today to see Jack Johnson! Woot!! Sooo unfortanately I won't be there tonight :/ The whole volunteer situation wasn't very organized and the coordinators were not so kind to the volunteers who weren't bilingual (even though they accepted us knowing full well some did not understand french). A few of us kept being shifted from place to place and weren't really given the opportunity to do much. I signed up in a twelve hour slot and wound up only working two. I wasn't very impressed and felt a little offended so I decided not to come back for day two. Ugh. It sucks. I would have loved to be there for today's shows. Everyone I really wanted to see was playing today and it would have been great to see you, Daniel. I just wish it would have been a more positive experience.

^Have you been to Salem? What's it like? And I've heard horror stories about the roads in Boston, lol. Luckily I won't have to attempt to drive myself anywhere. I love to see historical places, so it's going to be great. Hopefully it won't rain. ooo I just read that you're going to Salem and Boston! I've been to Salem on Halloween - and it was crazy. Mobs of people in costumes partying/trying to scare each other. Also one of the scariest moments of my life because I almost missed the last train back to Boston which would have left me stranded there . I hope you have fun around town - lol dress warmly! And if it does rain, umbrellas don't really work because it's just so windy. Just step into a building and pretend you're shopping

Haha, thanks for the advice!! Did you do any of the tours while you were there? I know there are 2 different tours of the town that take place at night, and I don't know which one I should do.

I can't believe they are treating people like that who are VOLUNTEERING to help them! That's just plain rude!!! I was looking for you but I didn't see you anywhere. Oh well, next time I hope Jack Johnson was great! There was also a girl performing from Wales in a hot red dress who had a gorgeous voice and a cute little accent. Loved it! The only downside were some rude people trying to push through the entire crowd to get to the front. When they arrived at my spot I pushed them into a group of tough looking dudes and they quickly backed away and went around me to try it on the other side... A few minutes later I saw them walking out of the crowd about 10 rows back, hahaha. Losers. Then, just when Jack's encore started, this crazy woman came up from behind me and started grabbing me and stuff and was saying stuff like "I want to see my friend, she's in the front". Yeah right. NOW you want to see her. At the end of the show. So I just looked at her, and turned around and ignored her... She kept being annoying and pushing me from behind so I turned around again and told her to "back the f*** off"...After that I heard her friend say to her behind me "this guy in front of you is evil". LOL. Anyway, it was a good night. Good music, and he played quite a long encore (5 songs or so) and got some guest musicians on stage with him during the performance. What else, me and my friend decided we'll rent a car and do a road trip to Toronto this weekend. Should be fun!!!
