As true of a journalist as there could possibly be. The man truly was "fair and balanced". I will really miss the man.

yeah, when i saw the photo i was like him? don't know him too well, but it's always weird/sad when you see someone you recognize.. and he wasn't that old. :/

That just broke my heart because he was really, really, great. I'm stocked. More shocked than that stupid ass R. Kelly verdict.

This is really sad. He was so good on election nights and on Meet the Press. It's disapointing that he won't be around to cover this general election campaign.

And he was the Vice President of NBC? Those are BIG shoes to fill. I'm glad other news stations are respecting his life and work.

this is very sad. my prayers are with his family and friends. i was watching a bunch of tributes to him today. he really was a great man. i feel bad he won't be apart of this upcoming election.

We don't get much NBC, only in the early mornings instead of NatGeo, so I don't think I've ever seen him on tv. But it's always sad. So I send my best wishes and condoleances to his loved ones.
