though I like Nick's personality better, I like Robert better as a F1 driver, so I'm glad he won. Also because he's the first Polish driver to win a major racing grand prix. I'm all for internationalizing of the sport  |

I'm suppoused to be studying right now but I got distracted...anyways biology exam tomorrow not fun  , I've done 2 exams already 7 more to go I can't wait for this 2 weeks to be over!!!!, I pre-ordered supernatural's 3rd season which makes me happy  (even though it won't be out until sptember but I love this show). I'm going to study now... Jolene congrats on the new job!!!! |

I have a problem and I'm so confused about it. I log on to facebook an hour or so ago only to find that my friend has made a bunch of posts...long posts...on my wall. They were apparently from an AIM conversation that she had had with someone. Whoever it was she was talking to claimed that I had given them her information, and that's how they were talking to her. They also said that I called her names (the b word, and other horrible things). I have absolutely NO idea who this person is, and I have no idea why anyone would say that they knew me when they do not. Why would someone I don't know say that I told them all those things?? This is really bad. I don't recognize their AIM at all, and I definitely didn't tell anyone any of the things that this person says that I told them about her. Not only is that stuff bad, but they are saying some other really bad things to her as well. I think she might actually think that I am responsible for this, and I don't know what to do. We've been friends for about a year...I would think she would know me well enough to know I wouldn't do anything like this in a million years, but maybe she doesn't. Does anyone have any ideas about what I should do about this? I added this "person's" AIM to my list, but they haven't logged on. The only thing I could think of is if some sick person with no life randomly picked her out on facebook, then picked someone off of her top friends to use and blame for everything they said. Gah...this is bad. Help!! |

breann, that sounds like an unfortunate situation to be in.
If you're trying to identify this person... This is a long shot, but have you tried searching for this person's aim sn on facebook? When you click on the "friends" arrow at the top of facebook, and then "find friends", there should be an option at the bottom of the page where you can "Find people you IM". This allows you to import your buddy list and facebook will be able to connect screennames to facebook profiles if that person has listed their screenname on their profile. It should work even if they're not in your network or they aren't currently logged into aim. Maybe google the screenname? Maybe their myspace name is the same as their aim sn? Chances are they may have made up this screenname just for the purpose of messing with you and your friend.
You might have done so already, but you might want to delete those comments your friend posted on your wall if they're on public display. There's no reason for other people to get see those posts and think badly of you. And talk to your friend... there's no way she would still believe you said all those things after you talk with her, right? Maybe the reason why she posted this to you in the first place is that she has doubts about the truth of this person's claims and is giving you the opportunity to explain? Maybe the bright side is that this situation is better than one in which your friend could have kept this information to herself and thought the worse of you without giving you the chance to explain. I wouldn't think too harshly of your friend for doubting you in the first place. I've been in situations before where I doubted decent people just because of my past experiences or my own insecurities.

I just deleted most of the posts she made. I do think, however, that instead of posting them where everyone could see them, she could have sent me a personal message or something. Also, she has changed her status on there, and has used my first and last name in it. She also said something negative about me in it. Gaaahhhhh....everyone she knows can read that. I wouldn't have been so worried if she had talked to me first before deciding to display all of this for everyone to see and jumping to conclusions. Yeah, I did search for them, both on myspace and facebook, and unfortunately came up with nothing. I think they go to the same school. This is horrible. Thanks for trying to help me, I really appreciate it. *I was able to talk to my friend a little. I'm not sure if the believes I wasn't involved with the whole thing, but she has agreed to take down the posts soon. Hopefully this person won't be causing anymore damage. I'm worried that he may try to harass someone else, whose name he may have gotten from my facebook. I really hope nothing more happens.    |

i think i have my early start of bad luck. i dont know if its because friday the 13th is coming tomorrow. i went by to pick up my projects and my professor lost the book that i designed. now i have to reprint and assemble everything again. argh!! =/

Kubica definitely drove a splendid race in Canada. Congrats to him! I just felt really sorry for Heidfeld because he's been with Sauber and even BMW-Williams since the earlier BMW years. Anyway, still great results :]
