I don't think the guys knew about the chat either. About the time they were suppose to be on chat, I saw them sitting around the bus talking and then I saw Bryce get off the bus and join them. I remember this because I was thinking I was missing the chat and I was like how are they having a chat sitting outside. I mentioned it to my friend. Then they had the meet and greet for contest winners and the concert later.

Even though Maureen is gloating, I'd still like to see her in the flamingo costume. only if you're good. i was just never a big fan of this club anyway. i don't like the idea of having to pay for something that i had free and clear a year ago.

I really don't like the club, but I sold out to the man and got a membership. I'm a bad modern Hippie... edit: just to let you guys know, I didn't mean (at all) to call anyone a sell out...I think I came across that way, but that I was not my intention. Sorry if I offended anyone.

I think there will be a rescheduling. It seems unfair that people paid to get into the club and they did a no show.

I don't think of joining the club as selling out. I think the band was hoping to play bigger venues on their headlining tour. Access to the bus and the band is much more difficult at these venues, as I think people have found during the current tour. This isn't necessarily their fault, it's just the way the security is set up at these sites. So, if there wasn't some new mechanism set up for meet & greets, you probably would never be able to see them unless you chanced upon them in the street. Now I know some of you are very good at chancing upon them in the street, but some people have been to many concerts and never met the band. The club might be their only shot at it. Whether or not they actually WILL play bigger venues is doubtful, but at least they have the mechanism semi-in-place to go forward. You've also seen that having the club hasn't made any difference in updates and videos from the band for non-club members, so you just have to decide if you're willing to pay $40 for the few extras you MIGHT get. Also, I wonder if some people are intimidated by this board - where everyone seems to know everyone else, and repulsed by the official board - where everyone is trying to decide who is hottest, and want some place different for their Lifehouse news. I was surprised how many of the people in the chat didn't have a myspace. Anyway, I don't think they've given anyone any reason to be resentful of the club - YET! Perhaps we will don the flamingo suit in the future!

It's so funny how "moms" handle these things. I don't think so many people would be upset if this stuff happening wasn't a continued trend. Things have just been poor since before this record came out and they haven't gotten any better.

Things have just been poor since before this record came out and they haven't gotten any better. That's definitely the big problem. This things being isolated, we'd normally go "oh that sucks" and move on, but it's literally been one thing after the other. And as for the meet and greets, it's only for 10 shows, so a lot of people would sign up just in hopes of getting a meet and greet, only to find there isn't even one anywhere near them.

I was really just voicing my own displeasure at myself. Thanks for being the voice of optimism though...

I never thought of it as selling out. But I've always wondered if Lifehouse was really "ready" for it. I mean, lets face it. They are not a VERY BIG band. They're doing fine, and they have their occasional hit song in the charts. And I think on the US market they're actually doing better than I expected. But worldwide, they're quite a small band. I don't wanna go into the whole "they haven't been overseas in so long" discussion, but my point is that on a bigger scale, they're just not really a big name. So as mm said, it's doubtful that they'll actually play bigger venues (or if they do, I doubt they'll sell enough tickets for a full house). I really hope they will though, cause they deserve the recognition and appreciation. And they have always been very open and forward to their fans and willing to meet them and talk to them. So I really don't think that will change.
So basically what I've been thinking is:"will this club actually work" I don't wanna judge it on their first error, because after all it's run by people and people mess up every so often, but it doesn't really speak for them. But I guess we'll see how it'll turn out. I think the intentions for this club were good, but I don't know if it was the right call to set it up at this point in Lifehouse's career. I hope it is, but personally I probably wouldn't have done it at this point.

Wow - they actually have meet n' greets up now? Well, that's certainly a step in the right direction! At least they followed through on one thing they said.. I figured they'd just wait for the headlining tour on that one. and... what Koens said
