Who's gonna get his new album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things on Tuesday? I'm excited to hear his new stuff, and I'm glad he put "I'm Yours" on it.. one of my favorite Mraz songs. And didn't know he did a song with Colbie Caillat. Here's the track listing from Amazon:
1. Make it Mine 2. I'm Yours 3. Lucky featuring Colbie Caillat 4. Butterfly 5. Live High 6. Love for a Child 7. Details In Fabric w/James Morrison 8. Coyotes 9. Only Human 10. The Dynamo of Volition 11. If It Kills Me 12. A Beautiful Mess

I got it yesterday... and so far it's pretty awful I still love "A Beautiful Mess", "If It Kills Me" and "I'm Yours" but the rest really are not living up to my expectations. It's just.... too weird for me. It's basically a collection of all the things I didn't like from "WFMRTC" and "Mr. A-Z"

It's yet to be released over here, I think June 20th, but I've heard it on his MySpace site and have it already on my cellphone and love it. Of course it has some songs that I don't like that much, but all in all it's a pretty good CD to me and will be my "summer soundtrack"

are you talking about I'm Yours or did he release a new single?
I think I'm Yours, It Kills Me & Details in the Fabric are my favorites

I was definitely extremely disappointed with this album. Lucky, Details in the Fabric, and Coyotes are the only album-versions I like. Personally, I like the old version of I'm Yours much better. Plus, the EPs were awesome. With those, I could NOT wait for this album. Now I just stick with the EPs plus Lucky & Details in the Fabric.

Sorry to bring this thread back up again, but a friend of mine got me this CD for my birthday (even though I don't really listen to Jason Mraz), so I just wanted to read what you guys thought. I've been craving some new stuff lately, but I'm not sure if I should keep the CD. He got me the gift reciept for it, so I can return if I want. So, you guys wouldn't really reccommend this album?

does your friend like the album, or did he just get it because he thought you'd like it?

It's not Jason Mraz's best album. It's a decent album, but I wasn't as excited about this one as his previous albums. It's not really all that high in my top albums released in the past year or so

Koen is right, it is a "decent" album. Maybe it's just me, but I wish he would just stick to acoustic tunes. I swear there are a couple of songs on here that make me feel like it is 1999 and I'm listening to Will Smith and getting ready to ring in the new Willenium...

If you want a few recently (2007/2008) released albums in the singer/songwriter genre that I think are better:
- Wake Chad Perrone - You And The Evening Sky Alli Rogers - Can You Hear Me Keaton Simons - Starting Over Ernie Halter - Black & White Matinee JJ Appleton - Searching For Signal Keith LuBrant - Seeing Things Jakob Dylan - Free LifeDan Wilson

Thanks. I'll probably end up exchanging the cd (Jolene, I think he just got it because he thought I would like it. I don't think he listens to jason mraz either).
I'll have to check out those artists, Koen!

The album's not bad...there are a couple of good songs on there! I definitely like his first album and live recordings better though.
