[I'll try to make this a weekly thing; it'll always be music related.] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_Inch_NailsAs a whole, would you say Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails is a thumbs up or a thumbs down for music in general. things i like about him: he releases music very quickly. he just released one yesterday for free. FREE. things i don't like about him: the music.

I don't always like NIN music, but I do like that it's creative and inspirational most of the time, and there aren't really many bands that really sound like them. And after Trent wrote Hurt (even though the Cash version tops it by a lightyear) he has a good page in my book.

I agree with everything that has been said in here. The music isn't really my cup of tea, but I really appreciate the "thinking outside of the box" that Trent does when it comes to releasing music.

best. musician. ever.
how did i miss this thread? lol
and i greatly disagree with you koen that cash's version of hurt is better than trent's. they come from two completely different places with different meanings behind each version. but i feel more passion behind trent's. and any band that releases music for less than $10 is awesome in my book. i've gotten 2 whole albums (well, 1 2-disc album and 1 10 track) for only like $6. that's freaking fan-tastic.
