All In All is my very favorite song, and one of the few that I haven't found any commentary about from Jason. What are people's interpretations of it?

i know he co-wrote it with Ean. My interpretation is pretty basic: things are going pretty crappy, but in the end (all in all), it's just another day and things will be ok. i like to listen to this song for just those kind of situations.
what's your intepretation?

When I first heard it I though it was about suicide, but I didn't hear anything else about it, so I assumed it was just me.

I absolutely LOVE this song! It's amazing, and was used as my coping song on numerous occasions. I can really really relate to it. It' seems to be that this song is about life's spiraling and mysterious moments that can leave you feeling down and out, but through it all, you're able to realize that it's just another day. and if you're strong enough and have the will power to do so, you're able to pick up the pieces and move on. Every new day is a new chapter and brings a taste of excitement and mystery. and THIS my friends is why I ADORE Lifehouse. They speak right to me through lyrical expression!

When I first heard it I though it was about suicide, but I didn't hear anything else about it, so I assumed it was just me. That's actually what i thought when I heard it the first time. Here's my interpretation. It's kinda depressing, but oh well: I guess, if you kinda think about it, it could be about standing on the edge thinking about jumping. like, "everything stays in my mind feeling in a daze on the ground" could be that you left your reasoning, or "mind" behind. and "life's too hard to live anymore, I think i've had enough things too tough, I'm out the door" is kinda self-explanatory. the chorus, basically, it feels like you can't change your circumstances and no one cares. "falling down, what you gonna do?" "no one's looking back at you". the 2nd verse, everyone else is moving on but you can't because you've made so many mistakes and wrong decisions but you don't realize that not everything is your fault. So, that's just kinda how i think of it sometimes. i think I prefer y'all's interpretations though, they're a lot happier.

I LOVE this song!! "All in all it's just another day now, fallin down whatcha gonna do?" To me it means it's just another day and you can't help if you fall down, but you get back up again anyways!

This song is so inspiring for me! When I'm having a bad day, I always think of 'all in all it's just another day, falling down what you gonna do' like it's saying 'it's just one day, don't worry about it. ' The the lyric 'it's gonna be just fiiiiine' always feels like it's being sung just to me - it's so reassuring
