Coldplay's Everyday Life has been on repeat for few days now. Any Coldplay fans here? Took some listens personally to get comfortable with it, but I think this is one of Coldplay’s best albums now, right up there with Viva and Parachutes for me. Chris has really graduated as a songwriter into someone who is far more thoughtful, and the album has so much more meaning because of it I think! Arabesque, Everyday Life, and Church are my favourites. I wouldn’t mind Lifehouse releasing 16 or 17 track albums in this sort of format actually... it’s more of a journey to listen to.

Been listening to Taylor Swift's folklore last weekend. A really good album. There's not a song that I do not like. Standouts for me are cardigan, mirrorball, seven and august I've been really into it too! Taylor seems to get better and better with each album, but this one has a candour that is so infectious and seriously impressive. My standouts are august, the last great american dynasty, exile, and betty in that order I think. And also cardigan, and the 1. Also mirrorball, and seven, and epiphany. Definitely one of the highlight records of this year for me! I've also been enjoying Bombay Bicycle Club's Everything Else Has Gone Wrong, mostly the first half of that record.

Yes same. One of the better records I listened to this year. That being said, I'd still rank folklore just below 1989. 1989 is just too good.
Anyone here listen to Wet? Man, I just discovered this band last week and it has been on repeat for the past few days haha. So many good songs, Deadwater, Don't Wanna Be Your Girl, There's a Reason, 11 Hours etc etc. I especially love the vocal, the vocalist got range

John Mayer - Why You No Love Me Also have you guys listened to Coldplay - Coloratura? Wow what a song. The whole soundscape is incredible. You and I have very similar tastes in music, snowfist! I've had Sob Rock on repeat this past week – Wild Blue and Shot in the Dark are two of my favourite JM songs of the last decade. It's not the best or my favourite album of his (unpopular opinion but I believe Born & Raised holds both those titles), but it's just such a nice group of songs drawn together with a certain ease and lightness that's becoming of his style. Also, dare I say it... the first JM album that focuses on his guitar less than his voice? Just heard Coloratura today – WOWZA. It made me think of Snow Patrol's Lightning Strike for its sheer scale, as well as Rocketman and American Pie for its 'instant classic' melody and weight. Can't wait to dig into it some more! My favourite record of this year so far has got to be January Flower by Mat Kearney. The whole thing is a wonderful return to form for Mat, and reminds me of Young Love (one of my all-time favourite records, and a record of his) a lot. Pontiac and Stuck in the Moment are my favourite songs I've heard this year

Just listened to The Killer's new album. Love the album. It’s ambitious and really works as a cohesive whole. I love how they’ve kept evolving, and it is totally different than Imploding The Mirage.
Highlights - West Hills, Quiet Town, In The Car Outside, Pressure Machine.

Sean Woolstenhulme - Miss Bliss EP. Ok this EP rocks. Almost all songs here are guitar driven, for obvious reasons. All the songs are catchy in their own ways and I often find myself playing this EP.
Highlights - Satellite, Lemme at 'em, Destiny.

Switchfoot's new album interrobang – unlike their last several records and most similar to Hello Hurricane, this one is raw, tracked live with minimal production, and enters uncharted lyrical territory for Jon. Everything that Native Tongue wasn't in my mind Lifehouse fans would love "Beloved" and Ozwald fans would probably like "I Need You to Be Wrong".
