I think Hafsól is from Hoppípolla CD single. i don't have it, unfortunately...But i'll try to get it has soon has i can. About live concerts, I'll see what i can do.I have two, but there are many on the web.I'm going to search for more in some specific locations. eee when you said you don't have it, do you mean in CD form or in mp3 form. cuz i have Hafsól. as for concerts, the only ones i got have are "Atlanta, GA 03-27-03" and "Boston Opera House 9-15-2005" theres also a full concert video on their site. I assume you already seen that one. That's when i first heard Hafsól. Crazy intense song.

www.mediafire.com/?0dygozzigsxI usually can't recommend songs because i think that sigur ros is best when listening to the album as a whole, but this song is crazy good all by itself. I want everyone to take a listen, but i'll delete the link in 1-2 days.

well, by boat, i just meant that there's a distinct steady flow of sound, back and forth in the music and it's all so layered. Sigur Rós wasn't my type of music either, but when i discovered them, the description of the music was something along the lines of "all the songs are untitled and they sing in a made up language. The album comes with blank pages so the listener can write their own lyrics. the first half is happy/positive. second half is darker/gloomy. Life and Death." Growing old i suppose. So i downloaded ( ) just to see how can this be possible. And it wasn't until track 3 where i felt that this was something amazing. And i start to sing along to this pretend language in my head, "you sigh long, you sigh. you silent alone find."
Takk... and Ágætis Byrjun are equally as good. as for Von, you gotta be hardcore to get into that album.
my point is. Sigur Rós really open up and broaden my musical taste. It's not for everybody. and how do i end this post.....why do computers wear glasses? to improve their websites.
edit i forgot to mention He uses a bow to play the guitar. like what? nobody does that.

I enjoyed reading your post Cris.I agree with you. Jónsi's uses a bow with the guitar. My favorite song from them has the name of this instrument... Untitled 6 - (E-bow)

Amina does that too, but well, they basically are junior Sigur Ros

Kurr was released back in March. It's quiet. a bit peaceful. none of their songs really stand out for me. it feels like a lullaby.

Easily one of my favorite bands. I remember reading that they are going to put out an acoustic album this year and a Live DVD. That would be some welcome news for me, that's for sure.
Hoppipolla is possibly my favorite track from them.
