maybe it's a prerequisite for those people to be miserable, the one that gave me my test was unpleasant as well. at least you passed though! yay!

Doesn't it always seem like the DMV people are just pissed at the world always?
My guy said all of two words to me the entire time. I was terrified of him, and when we finally got back to the testing site, he didn't even tell me I passed! He asked for my info but never said why (and how was I, at 17, supposed to know that meant I passed?) and then got out of the car and left. Those people are so weird.
Congrats though! Welcome to freedom behind the wheel.

Congrats Julia.
I don't like driving either, but it's my favorite way to relax to my music.

I DID IT! Thank YOU I still can't believe it, because that man who examined me was a rather nasty type. I made some small errors during my drive and I thought that this is it, but somehow he didn't ask me to stop and change places with him. I thought it's because it's the first try so maybe he wants me to know better what this exam is all about... but when we came back, he told me I passed. He was so cold and unpleasant when he said that that I still can't believe it's true... *makes happy dance* ;D ;D ;D Congratulations dear Julia!

I don't like or dislike driving, just for the driving. I do love to take drives to new places (though It'd be just as much fun by bike or on foot, but it takes so much longer, so for some places a drive is more convenient)..
And Katelyn, congratz on your purple stars

I don't mind driving all that much, but I have no sense of direction whatsoever. Plus, I always get stressed out if I'm driving somewhere I've never been, lol. (which is why I'm kind of freaking out about this show in July, b/c I have to go alone...) And as for the DMV/BMV people, I know someone who works in there and she hates it. Maybe that has something to do with why they're so mean, but that's really no excuse. I know I hated my last job and I was still nice to the customers. But she just told me a story about this one guy who came in. There are a lot of farmers around here, and one of them sat down in front of her. She said he smelled really bad...and had bugs crawling out of his hat and on his face. And he didn't even seem to notice or care! She said she had to have someone else help him because she thought she was going to get sick. (no offense to farmers...they're not all like that) She doesn't do the driving part though, she just works inside.

well, they have to stay objective, and not pass people because they like them, so they try to not be very personal and stay kinda out of that whole thing.

And Katelyn, congratz on your purple stars thanks! maureen is rather jealous of them. i like driving, but i tend to get stressed out in places i'm not familier with. and i hate driving in cities. and i don't like driving around other people because i don't trust them to be as cautious as i am. and pennsylvania drivers are the worst and they're always around in the summertime cause i live (kind of) near the beach. wow i never realized how much i don't like about driving. most of the time i really enjoy it though. and i can't drive without music. it just doesn't work.

It's okay maureen, you get special green ones. love the pic in your sig I'm so excited. I was out to dinner with my family, and really bored, so my dad told me I could go on my aol instant messenger on my cell phone (I never do because I was told it costs a lot). Well apparently, with unlimited texting it's free! That made me super happy, because the internet connection on my neighborhood is like screwed up, so my instant messenger on my computer doesn't work properly (its signs me off and of, and sometimes doens't deliver messages) and it's really annoying. yay, for working technology lol EDIT: haha, i take back what I said. I got home, and magically, it no longer works. I swear, my house has like instant messenger repellent
