Okay so I am sitting here in some hotel in Mass and I just needed to get on to tell you all how amazing this show was tonight!! I thought no show would top Boston but man this one was incredible!!
Storm went buh-bye and was replaced by Beast of Burden!!! Oh my god it fit so perfectly. I was so excited because we were not expecting it at all. I think he really loves this song and he sounded so great doing it!
The crowd was amazing! I haven't seen the guys so relaxed before you could tell they were having a lot of fun tonight! The crowd had some really great energy!!
It was nice getting to see Brinny! I hope you enjoyed the rest of the show!
I thought the Goos performance was amazing tonight as well! Now it is time for bed!

Okay guys here's a bit of a review. Okay so my friend Sarahann and I left at about 4:15ish. Now it takes about 2 and a half hours to get there for us, but instead it took us an extra hour and we missed Collbie Caillat, which was who my friend wanted to see most. Do you want to know why? I'll tell you why. MAPQUEST FRICKING SUCKS. Oh yeah, and a major bridge we needed to get on what closed off so we had to make a huge detour. In any case, we get there at about 7:45ish and get through the gates. Unfortunately we missed Collbie, and Sarahann accidentally left her camera(which is a heck of a lot better than mine) in the car, and there was no re-entry. Rats. Anyways, we met up with Brinny and her friends, and sat next to them since no one had been occupying those seats. Well, unfortunately, they showed up, so we had to move to our regular seats, which were not as good. Of course, my camera sucked so I couldn't get pictures BUT Lifehouse came on and they were AMAZING. Jason's voice was so dead on tonight it was rediculous. I heard so many good compliments about him from Goo fans and stuff next to me. Normal opener set, except Storm was switched with Beast of Burden. It sounds great live, and some people next to us happened to know the words. I think through all the crap we went through, just seeing them playing again made it all worth it. I just smiled and was in awe when they finished with Broken, because it made me realize...this is really what it's all about. Listening to the great music these guys play that brings so many people together. And people loved them and were singing a long and got a standing ovation at the end. After LH was off, my friend and I went to go look for Collbie because we heard she was signing autographs. My friend was so excited. I wanted her to come with me to this concert, not just because I wanted to see Lifehouse, but I wanted her to have fun moreso. She met Collbie and got her picture autographed. I also got the LH tour T shirt, but had to get it in medium because they were out of smalls. Luckily, it's 100 percent cotton, so it will shrink. So while we were in line for Collbie, the Goo's came on with Long Way Down, and then Slide. Then we went and sat down in our seats. The Goos put on a great show, but the only problems were: 1. Johnny drops F Bombs. A LOT. I'm not down with that. 2. I don't like Robbie's voice. AT ALL. and my friend thought he looked nasty. It was amazing though when they played Iris. EVERY single person in that arena was singing the song. The only issue was, Johnny didn't actually sing enough of it on his own. It was just audience. I think it's because he can't hit those high notes so well in that song anymore. Dunno though. After the show, I tried to find Brinny and friends by walking up this long walkway thing, but it ended up leading out of the arena in the opposite direction we were parked in, so we just went to the car instead of looking for the guys. It wouldnt've mattered though because they had already left. While we were driving home we were going up this shopping main street type area, and noticed a sports bar with a HUGE tour bus in front of it. It was Lifehouse's tour bus, but unfortunately, we were not able to get in because it was rented just for them.(plus my friend was not bold enough to go with me and try to find them haha.) So, we went home. Well 3 hours later, I am home, and eventhough so many things went wrong, it was alright in the end, because...well...it's Lifehouse.

Well I came on here to type up a bit of a review, but it looks like I've been beaten to it! Since nothing else really happened to me, I guess I'll spare you the long review..I will repeat what a great show it was though! I left feeling a little oddly unsatisfied since it's not the Lifehouse experience I'm used to, but it was great just to see them again. My pictures are visual garbage, but I have videos and audio of basically the whole set. I have a couple videos then it switches to audio because we got caught by security. From what I heard off my camera last night they sound really good. So if anyone on here has the capability of getting the audio off of these videos of the floor...I'd appreciate a little help. I have a sound capture program but it wouldn't do the videos much justice. and lastly it was great to get too see/meet you all! I wish you guys would have stayed down in our row. The people in the two open seats to the left of us never showed up until after the goo goo dolls started

Yeah that did kinda suck that we had to move, but I'm not bitter haha.
Also, a little change, and I dunno if they've been doing this at other shows, but Bryce now sings the end part to The Joke instead of Jason (aka "THE JOKE IS ON YOOOOHOOOOUUU") which I believe is because after several shows of trying to hit that high A he sings, it takes a toll on the vocal cords. So Jason just rocks out on his guitar while Bryce sings. It was actually really cool.

Holy shit! "Beast of Burden" live?!? Man, you're lucky... I'd trade "Storm" for that anyday - why couldn't they have this revelation last week?? Thanks for the review!

Oh, that would've been cool if they did that in Boston indeed. I think Bryce is been doing the end of the Joke for awhile though, which I thought was really cool..
And Brinny. I can just convert video straight into audio, so if you want to, I can help you with that

I found a review of the show: Goo Goo Dolls please fans at SPACSARATOGA SPRINGS -- For a band mainly known for its softer radio hits, the Goo Goo Dolls brought plenty of high-energy rock to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Tuesday night. Opening strongly with "Long Way Down," the hard-charging opener from 1995's breakthrough "A Boy Named Goo," the band members did their best to balance what they were -- a hard-rocking, hard-working rock-punk outfit from Buffalo -- with what they have become: a polished Top 40 hit machine that found success by putting acoustic guitars out front. Lead singer Johnny Rzeznik, whose distinctive voice sounded scratchier than usual, seemed to be having a ball on stage, running from side to side, flipping guitar picks into the crowd and shaking front-row hands -- even laughing after getting trapped by one fan who seemed loath to let his hand go. Mid-set, bass player Robby Takac took the lead vocals on several older songs, but unfortunately his voice was difficult to hear. But he showed a lot of energy, pumping his fist and shaking his tightly braided hair while holding down a sharp bass line. Advertisement Even when he was not singing, however, all eyes remained on Rzeznik, the band's one true rock star. Once he took back the vocal reins, he gave most of the crowd the hits they wanted to hear. The band churned out "Name," its first big breakthrough hit; "Black Balloon"; "Broadway"; "Iris"; and one of its latest songs, off the "Transformers" soundtrack, "Before It's Too Late." Rzeznik said the band was not being paid to promote the movie and he would only say of the song that it was about "a boy who loved a girl and a bunch of killer robots from outer space." The band sounded good, especially touring keyboardist and guitarist Korel Tunador, who juggled both instruments at times and even ran to the front of the stage playing a saxophone at one point. Mike Malinin, who has become the band's drummer, was strong without being flashy; and backup guitarist Brad Fernquist displayed some dexterity when he picked up a mandolin for "Iris." With such a big gap between their early power days and their acoustic No. 1 phase today, the Goo Goo Dolls seemed to be trying to please everyone rather than worrying about the old fans or the new fans. One complaint, however, was that the band did not stay long, playing less than a 90-minute set and finishing with an encore before 11 p.m. Also disappointing was the first opener, Colbie Caillat. Her album dropped this week at No. 5 on the Billboard charts, but her 'tween-pleasing cotton candy sound did not hold up in comparison with the bands that followed her. The second opening act, Lifehouse, was strong enough to convince the crowd that next year it will have top billing if it returns to SPAC.
The band's breakout hit, "Hanging by a Moment," got the crowd fired up quickly, and the band returned the favor with a fiery mix of old hits and new singles.www.poststar.com/articles/2007/07/26/ae/today/4e58823de0854c41852573230079e1f9.txt

Nooooo Lifehouse....don't go back to SPAC...It was a good show and all, but that place is WAY too big and it's impossible to meet the bands there unless they do a meet and greet. Other than that, that was an great review. That reviewer hit the nail right on the head about the whole show. It seemed like the Goo's really cut down their set a lot. I'm thinking it was the venue though. I have a feeling artists at SPAC have to be done by 11. It might have something to do with the whole state park thing. I really wasn't complaining though, I'd already seen the Goo's before and Lifehouse's set was done...so I couldn't hold attention much longer. They were right about Colbie Caillat, she was almost too chill in comparison...and she didn't seem to have much stage presence. She pretty much stood in one place the whole set. And I almost forgot, thanks for posting too!
