Thank you! You'll do just fine aminta No worries. If we're talking probabilities, the chance of dying is higher in the car on the way to the airport then on the plane. Comforting to know when you're driving there... Anyways, it'll be fun. I'm going to the Hove festival!! June 26th- june 30th... I mention -Incubus-, the Killers, My Chemical Romance, Kaiser Chiefs, Bright Eyes, Heroes & Zeroes, Queens of the Stone Age.. In Arendal, south of Norway. ;D

Thanks, it was great, only too short... It was kind of a reunion with my friends from other countries I met on a voluntary camp 4 years ago. So this time I had no adventures with greek strippers /dancers , but at least me and my friends made our dream come true - we took two tents and slept in Cabo da Roca, a beautiful place where Europe ends in the west. Just see this amazing place at the ocean for yourself - I am putting links to my photos on photobucket below, if anyone wants to take a look... We were freezing there in the evening, but the weather changed during the night and it was perfect. Spending the whole night there - I mean only 5 of us and maybe these few cars we saw with couples probably having sex inside ;-) - it was quite an adventure. You should see us when we woke up next morning, had breakfast in the back of a lighthouse, in silence, with a view on the ocean, and then came back to the bus stop and discovered already four couches full of tourists... I mean we were so used to being alone there all night that we forgot that there might be other people around ;-). Even a visit in tourist's information bathroom was a shock because there were twenty japanese tourists waiting in the line to pee ;-) But I have seen also many other places in Portugal! Besides toilets of course ;-). We spent a lot of time in Lisbon and visited beautiful places in the Alentejo region. We rented two cars for the six of us and we were excited just like kids who got toys. We even gave those cars names: Ahmad & Emma. And we pretended that we're marriages who won cars, we got a sort of obsession because of them I wrote some blog about my first days in Portugal on myspace, here goes: blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=116974961&blogID=271957851&MyToken=014dfca6-dc42-48a3-a9cc-9bbe4acc0674And now to photos... Lisbon: s97.photobucket.com/albums/l211/aminta80/Lisbon%20story%20/Sintra - a place from fairytales ;-) : s97.photobucket.com/albums/l211/aminta80/Tuesday%20in%20Sintra/Cascais and Cabo da Roca: s97.photobucket.com/albums/l211/aminta80/Cascais%20and%20Cabo%20da%20Roca/and Evora & our car trips in the Alentejo area: s97.photobucket.com/albums/l211/aminta80/Evora%20and%20Ahmad%20and%20Emma%20on%20the%20road/I hope you like them. Ok, enough PR for my Portugal trip for tonight For sure it was not that exciting as dancing naked on the streets of Brasil ;D or visiting New Zealand

Welcome back, Julia! Glad you made it there and back safely Aww, photobucket's being a real &?$*!% to me thesedays. I can't view your albums, and I can't even upload my pictures. Sounds like you had a really amazing time with your friends though. Especially loved the idea of camping out with such a beautiful scenery/view. By the ocean! Must've been lovely. Someday, I shall backpack around Europe... ------- I'm not the best at reviews on a certain place, but I'll try my best. Sorry it's kinda lengthy and also the picture quality. I took them with my cellphone - hence the quality. 9 days in New Zealand is definitely not enough. Even at that, I only travelled the South Island (mainly Christchurch/Queenstown/Dunedin). Damn you college for starting the semester right smack in the middle of summer (we don't get summer holidays here ). So the reason for the trip to NZ was to visit the place where my father used to grow up. I didn't even had the time to visit that town, Nelson. Nevertheless, the trip was still an enjoyable one. We arrived at Christchurch and were immediately greeted by over-friendly people that can actually scare you (I'm not kidding) but I suppose that's a bonus plus for NZ. The locals there were very nice and certainly helpful when you're in need of help. There was even an incident where I accidently left my cellphone on the seat of a bus and the driver actually drove back to where I was staying to hand my beloved cellphone back to me, personally. If this were to happen at my hometown, I doubt I'll ever see the lights of my Sony Ericsson cellphone ever again. This trip was a really awe-inspiring eye opener to the wonders of mother nature. New Zealand is beautifully crafted in such a way that it is impossible not to get blown away by the sceneries with long white clouds hanging over it. Let's just leave it to the pictures to do the talking. Here are a few pictures that I managed to upload. View of Lake Tekapo. Sheep! (No surprise there. Heh) Mt. Cook, the tallest peak in New Zealand. (Covered by clouds, however) Being the LOTR geek that I am, I wouldn't be surprised if I actually found any hobbits there. Part of Queenstown & Lake Wakatipu with the mountain range of The Remarkables as the backdrop. This is Milford Sound on a rainy day. Spectacular place. Basically, there were a lot of travelling around NZ. Stopped by a handful of towns and being a fan of cheese, I came across this shop and was immediately fascinated by it. Last but not least, here's a combo picture of me being dorky? Heh. It was late Autumn when I visit NZ. The weather could well reach below 5 degrees, and I don't think I've experienced anything like that before. Pictures certainly do not justify the real beauty of NZ. I say, grab your backpacks and just hop on a flight to NZ. You won't regret it. I'm definitely heading back there one day to travel the whole of NZ. And to bungy jump

Thanks Liz.. that only makes me want to go there more. I'll pass on the bungee jumping though.. but I definitely want to take some time to travel and see New Zealand. That's always been one of my dreams.

Netherlands under 21yrs soccer team made it to the finals of the European championships by beating England in a penalty kicks decider with 13-12 in penalties (16 penalties per team). What a thriller. We won the european championships last year, and now we get to defend the title, in our own country. Awesome. I hope we'll win

^oh, they did win by the way, lol... Yay Netherlands.
PS. 3 Firetrucks (and some police cars) racing by with a lot of sirens kinda doesn't work for people who are sleeping.. something bad must've happened on the highway (why must we be on route from the help services to the highway?)
