Might not be Christmas randomness anymore but..
3 weeks vacation just isn't enough.
I visited a friend of mine and her baby Thursday. So cute! I can't believe he's 5 months already.
I was stupid enough to go skiing the other day. I can still feel it in my arms. And muscles in my body I didn't think existed.

Oh great.
So now I have a hungarian teacher in Math and a danish in physical chemistry... And as of yet, I've only had math and physical chemistry.
The hungarian teacher speaks english, understandable, but not all the time. Seems like a good teacher so far though, as long as I understand him.
And danish people sound like they swollow all the words. I almost wish he could speak english instead of danish... *sigh* I just have to get used to it I guess

Yes, I'm from Norway, and yes, they obviously expect us to understand danish. The languages are very related though, the written language almost identical - mostly cause Denmark occupied Norway for some hundred years. (1500- 1814) That's also the reason we've got two written languages in Norway (some wouldn't accept the danish written language, so now we have to suffer learning both,  it's hopeless) I understand it very well as long as they speak slowly. Words are much the same with some differences of course, it's the pronounciations that's the major difference I'd say. They eat up their words. No way I'll speak Danish though |

I just came back from hospital, we had to call the emergency/ambulance for my grandma. is not as bad as we first thought (she thought it's a heart attack) it's "just" a inflammation (?) of her gallbladder, but she has to stay there and it could be that she needs a surgery   |

 I hope she'll be fine and that the surgery goes well. How old is she? My father was diagnosed a light form of skin cancer last week. It's not that bad (I hope), the spot just has to be erased and then he should be fine, but still. Makes you realize that health is our most precious possession. |

Yes Susi you're right. We were today at the hospital and it's still not sure if she needs the surgery or not, they have to do soem tests and we're gonna see maybe today or tomorrow And the doc said that even if she needs the surgery it's not that bad and that they make over 500 a year in that hosptial and we don't need to be too worried, but that's not really a big help for us. Thanks Susi and Sonja and Susi I hope you dad will be fine after that. |
