When I read the lyrics I was just a tiny bit shoked, but Jason takes the dirtiness out of this song

I was also stunned at how Jason managed to make it a soft romantic, almost pained song. I now want to hear what he would do to that George Michaels song. That would be a hard one (pun intended)

I can't stop watching Beast of Burden. I was really shocked/curious when I first read the lyrics but the way they slowed it down really makes it sound like an entirely different song. I really like Bryce's backups, he and Jason sound so good together. My favorite part of the song is Jason's voice, it just sounds so raw and real and amazing. Definitely my favorite cover they've done.

i looked up the original and heard a clip of it last night....totally different.
you're right, jason does sound raw and amazing and it does sound a bit "romantic."

I don't think it's that different. Just the vocals are different, but that's just because Jason is a whole different kind of vocalist. But I think they actually stayed quite true to the sound of the original, but still made it their own.

well, it's just that Jason's voice is more soothing, so it sounds sweeter, more romantic, but the way they played it is in the tradition of the original, i think.. but anywho.. it's a great cover
