I just got this in the RSS Feed:
I love the part where they say : "You cannot listen to this and not be moved" Cause that's totally true

This is crazy; my brother was watching TV, and that commercial just came on. So I froze and was like "Holy crap, is that Jason?! I need to check the Lifehouse boards."

Does someone have the lyrics of the song? Daniel (klein) posted them on the 1st (or 2nd?) page of the thread but they are also here

duh this guy is stupid. so just because the song happens to be for a commercial the band is "selling out"? why are people so god damn negative all the time??!

well, I get his point, it's just not really valid in this particular case I think. I think it would be more valid if a band just blindly writes/lends a song for a commercial. But Jason specifically decided in favor of this one because he supported the cause and thought it would do good.
And yes, of course in the end it's an All State commercial, but that doesn't mean that it can't have a good effect on society. Besides, songs in commercials usually don't bring an artist that much money anyway, the attention/exposure it gives them is more of a help.

lol if you want to call them sell outs for anything - it should be the Dodge commercial but seriously, what's wrong with making money? It's how they make a living.. Radio play and word of mouth don't seem to be completely doing it so why not get your music out there in any way you can. If the song didn't go along at all with the commercial and they completely changed themselves to make it happen.. then sure, call em sellouts, but none of that occurred. So I'm cool with it and I'm proud of them for being apart of it.
