Jason’s announced that he’ll be releasing a bunch of mixed and mastered demos from 2003-2004 pre-ST era as a series of EPs! No, this is not April Fools; too good to be true, but it’s true!

Hopefully we'll hear the mastered version of What Happens Next, Georgianna, and others in this EP series. About 20 tracks were planned to be released this year according to Jason's Facebook page.

He confirmed that Midnight in Philadelphia will be one of them. Very excited for that!

At least some 'lifehouse like' new songs this year. Maybe he finds the drive to work again with the band in new material

He did reply to me when I asked about What Happens Next, No Name Face, Climb and The Edge being on future Demo Volumes. "all of those are a possibility" with a with an eyes closed, happy face emoji. So...I mean I'd still take that as a grain of salt, but awesome that he replied and it wasn't a straight "no." He didn't have to reply, so the fact he did, some of those may be released!

This is incredible news! Literally, there are threads on this website from the mid '00s with people asking for these tracks to be released... this feels like the most exciting release from JW/LH/OZ since Paper Cuts fore sure, and maybe even Wasteland!
Considering Chapter Two was from that time period and we never knew about it until 2013, there must be lots of demos whose titles have never been released before. I'm expecting a ton of new material, though some oldies may come through as well. I wonder if it's a special-order only sort of thing? There's a link to his online store and no mention of any other release methods.

I always thought the NNF song was never finished being written? Somehow I concocted a story where he got part way done, scrapped it, and took the title.

I just bought his Demo cd today. That's the only place I know of where they sell it. The only thing "special" is probably the signed cds. It's probably first come-first served basis. I could be wrong though.

I could be wrong, but I thought it was actually recorded, but ultimately not good enough to put on the actual NNF album, ironically. But Jason responding to me didn't have to mean specifically the NNF track, could be The Edge or others. Heck, if any aren't finished, he could re-record down the line!

I asked him if the track “NNF” would ever be released back at the first concert I attended (2005, Boston) and if I remember correctly, he said the song wasn’t completed until after the album was done. I also asked about a re-release of DLD which he mentioned him and E were playing around with and “maybe one day” but I took that as a “probably not”. Again, this was a quick conversation we had 15 years ago so take it with a grain of salt. The details might not be 100% but that’s how I remembered it.

I had also asked very similar questions after concerts years ago as well...he went as far as saying how cool it would be to do a few really small acoustic shows and ONLY play the old stuff “like Crown of Scars.” But that obviously never happened lol idk I wouldn’t count on all of our dreams becoming reality, but he sure is baiting us with some awesome stuff!

It’s funny how Jason was almost apologetic about how the demos sound “a little rough around the edges”. I don’t know if it’s just me but for me it’s actually that rougher more imperfect sound that I like rather than the overly perfect sound LH had in the last few albums.
