Time seems to fly. My first show was in March of 2001 (as well as my first live recording), BUT! someone taped them before me in 2000 on a side stage outside of the Camden E-Centre just prior to a Pearl Jam concert.
Ive had it since roughly 2005 when the taper made it available online and have saved it ever since (I am, afterall a completist!)... hearing Jason ask the crowd to get on their mailing list and to come talk to them was so innocent.... If only they knew what would transpire over the next year.
since its been 20 years since the release of NNF (well, this October), I thought it would be a good time to post this:

Tapers notes:
This was the first time anybody had evcer heard Lifehouse in our area.
WMMR 93.3 FM had just played Hanging By A Moment from their sampler
for the first time the night before on their "11 O Clock
*mews*" radio show. I had brought my recorder that day to tape Pearl Jam
and Sonic Youth for my stepson, Daniel Tyman. For some reason I brought
an extra disc and had it when I noticed a band setting up to play on the
side stage. I stood in front of a tree planted in the walkway while
recording. Lifehouse's first album, "No Name Face" wont hit the store
shelves for another couple months. This was in effect their premiere
in Philly/Camden. The crowd slowly grew as more and more heard their
sound. The set started quite early as I remember it around 7:00pm.
You will hear many conversations towards the end of the set mainly
because of all the folks flowing past me to get to their seats, (they are
in fact many changing convesations recorded with many different people so
dont try to follow what they are saying There was a fair amount of
wind that day so you will hear some wind noise in between songs when
the volume is lower.
This is the first time I have offered this set in trade as I was concerned
that it might become a bootleg because of Lifehouse's explosive success that
year. Well it's five years later and I am sure Lifehouse fans would love a
peek into their sound before they hit the arenas. Here you go!
