Lifehouse scheduled 3 one offs for this weekend and I planned on attending the
first two. I bowed out of the third in Connecticut. Logistically, it just wouldnt
work getting back to Ohio. The setlist this year has been so great, I would attend
20 of these shows! I keep fearing they will start removing some of these lesser
played "deep cuts" from the set and it did happen here in Silver Spring as
"The Beginning" got axed. They did end up throwing in a partial version of
"Everything" at the end of the stripped down set. That ended up being one of the
crowd's favorites of the night, so it was a good choice. I had never been to
this venue before and could not believe how windy it was in there. It felt
like a wind tunnel on certain parts of the floor. I was originally going to
record from the right side of the room but when the gusts were nearly blowing
me over, I found a spot underneath an overhang near the left stack. The wind
isnt as noticeable (thankfully) and you can only really hear it if you put
on headphones and listen between songs. One hell of a ventilation system in
there! Tapers be forewarned! Windscreens!! Overall, this one turned out nice.
