Lifehouse scheduled 3 one offs for this weekend and I planned on attending the
first two. I bowed out of the third in Connecticut. Logistically, it just wouldnt
work getting back to Ohio. The setlist this year has been so great, I would attend
20 of these shows! I keep fearing they will start removing some of these lesser
played "deep cuts" from the set and that did happen the next night in Silver
Spring as "The Beginning" got axed. I did hear a few people walking out commenting
that they didnt play enough "hits!" That, of course - brought a huge smile to my
face. These are the shows Ill always remember and bring out to listen to when the
band inevitably calls it a day - whenever that may be. Turn it up!

What are those people talking about? The only “hit” (and it was a minor one) not played was All In. Some other singles haven’t been played but they’re not exactly big hits or anything. (SSC, Breathing, TMA, Blind, Raindrops, Hurricane) They’re playing some of their BEST songs though. Songs that in a perfect world would be hits. I’m with you, I get joy in fans not hearing everything they wanted. The band has been on cruise control on tour for ten years. Extremely predictable.
This setlist is great. I still wish they’d mix it up. Maybe throw Hanging into the second slot again. Get people in it early. Opening with the new Spin was cool too for a while. Opening with Anchor on the SCF tour was always awesome. Throw in some more deep cuts though and rotate them around. Have a rotation of about 15 deep cuts and mix them around so that every show isn’t identical. Crash and Burn needs more love live. Even if the studio cut falls short on emotion, the live versions are great. Finally, end on something big! The Spin outro jam! The Broken live ending! Everything! Flight for crying out loud! Leave on an emotional high...not your biggest hit!
