With Rita Wilson's new album produced by Ron Aniello and a track featuring Jason, I thought it might be nice to group in one place the songs that he's either written for or cowritten with other artists. Everyone, please add anything you know of! 2016: Rita Wilson's "In The Dark"
Jason Wade, Ron Aniello, Rita Wilson 2002: Sixpence None the Richer's "Waiting on the Sun"
Jason Wade, Ron Aniello 2006: Jeremy Camp's "When You Are Near"Jason Wade, Ron Aniello, Jeremy Camp 2008: Rachel Diggs' "I Saw You Walk"Jason Wade, Ron Aniello, Rachel Diggs 2008: Rachel Diggs' "I Won't Let You Down"
Jason Wade, Ron Aniello 2002: Nine Days' "Ocean"Jason Wade, Brian Desveaux 2007: Clique Girlz' "My Time"Jason Wade, Jude Cole 2004: Kendall Payne's "Stand"Jason Wade 2007: Jennifer Leigh Meyers' version of "Stand"Jason Wade 1999: Kate Miner's "Take Me Higher"Jason Wade 2003: Passion's "Revolution Cry"Jason Wade 2012: Cavo's "Never Gonna Hurt"Jason Wade, Cavo 2007: Bethany Joy Lenz' "Never Gonna Be" (also called "Anybody Else C'mon C'mon)Jason Wade, Ron Aniello, Bethany Lenz 2009: Daughtry's " Long Way" Jason Wade, Christopher Daughtry Note that several of these were written years before they were recorded, so for instance the Rachel Diggs stuff from 2007 was likely written by J and Ron during the Tumnus days and then reworked with Rachel, making her a cowriter. The most recent one features Jason doing backing vocals, which means he did in fact write it recently with Ron and Rita. Some videos won't work outside of North America, but the songs are accessible on iTunes. If you don't have it in your country's iTunes, you can switch to the US one and hear the 1:30 previews. Feel free to add! Enjoy!

I was only looking for a shortcut home. But it's complicated, so complicated...

Nice topic! I remember that one from the past, it used to have Jason on background vocals but I cannot hear him on this version: Steven Curtis Chapman "All Things New" www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_Q3NrB_eHMA song with the Raglans probably coming soon, as the guys are guests at Jason's studio right now... can't wait for that one!

Looks like Jason's been doing quite a bit of cowriting recently. Two new songs have popped up, one with Kevin Griffin (Better Than Ezra) titled 'Flares', and the other with Dave Lichens (Petra) called 'On the Horizon'. 'Million Ways' with KOMOX has also been copyrighted. More interestingly, there's a new song called 'Survive' written solely by Jason, with his name as both the songwriter and artist. This is the second time he's ever been registered as the artist of a song; it's always been Lifehouse or no artist if it's unreleased, with the exception of Days Go By due to the original solo version being featured in that movie. Do I hear a new soundtrack coming down the pipeline?

Another new song title: "Forever and Never", just written and written exclusively by Jason. This is interesting, as it's not written with someone else and therefore is not meant for someone else. Also of note: the old song 'Sometimes' was re-copyrighted, this time under Kobalt and Castleview (the same labels as OOTW). The other new songs are under varying publishers, giving us some insight into who they're for: - Flares (Control Group)
- On the Horizon (Sony)
- Survive (Sony)
- Forever and Never (Sony)
- Sometimes (Castleview)
Three of them are under Sony, which is odd. The fact that Forever and Never was written solely by Jason suggests it's a Jason song, meaning that he may be signed to Sony now!

Great find celticflower! Our sleuthing powers are quite complimentary "Wade’s agreement with Sony/ATV will see him write for other artists as well as collaborate with other top songwriters." // Hmm, not sure how I feel about this. I'm excited that he's excited, but ideally I want to hear his voice. Here's hoping that the song 'Survive' will see the light of day soon, as it's a Sony track but registered as J being be artist. In other news, another new song title: 'Get Up and Go'.

Jason registers all songs that he writes on BMI Music, and you can see them all with a search of the BMI Repertoire. Each song is numbered and includes the writers, what label it's copyrighted under, and the artist that performs the song (if there is one). All songs under BMI are numbered chronologically by their registration date, so you can compare numbers to find when things were written. It opens up cool little tidbits, like how By Your Side was registered on the same day as Bridges, Learn You Inside Out, and Keep the Change (all in early 2007). You can also find a track called Tired of Waiting registered at the same time as Signs of Life. It also gives some time references for b-sides, like how Better Part of Me was registered in 2003 around the same time as Days Go By (because that was put in that film and was written in 2003). Have a look! I made a spreadsheet of it for easier access if you want me to email it to you repertoire.bmi.com/writer.asp?page=1&blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&fromrow=1&torow=25&affiliation=BMI&cae=356942922&keyID=787002&keyname=WADE+JASON+MICHAEL&querytype=WriterID

I'm pretty intrigued by "You're On Your Way". I have a song with a chorus of "You're on your way" that is heavily influenced by "Take Me Away".

I'm pretty intrigued by "You're On Your Way". I have a song with a chorus of "You're on your way" that is heavily influenced by "Take Me Away". Same, and it just happens to be my favourite of your songs! New title: Before You Come Around. So far, here's the list composed for Sony (in chronological order): - On the Horizon (Wade, Lichens)
- Get Up and Go (Wade, Burnette, Overstreet)
- Survive (Wade registered as primary musician... solo track?)
- Forever and Never (Wade)
- There's No Surrender (Wade, Lichens)
- Just Wanna Be With You At Home (Wade, Lichens)
- Before You Come Around (Wade, Dollar, Tenpenny)
Prior to these, he did "In the Dark" with Rita Wilson and Ron Aniello, and "Flares" with Kevin Griffith; neither are part of the Sony project. Also, as an aside, J's publishing alias 'Castleview Music' seems to have been renamed 'Jason Wade Music' on everything I can find online. Oh Sony...
