I was bored so I searched some of my universities online periodical databases. We're in need of some non-poll threads. lol I'd never seen this before. It's from May of this year.
The Union Leader (Manchester NH)
COULD YOU GET the address for Jason Wade, the lead singer of a band called Lifehouse? I'd really like to write to him. (from M.W., Pembroke)
Dear M.W.: Jason Wade, front man and founder of Lifehouse, grew up mostly in California, although his parents were missionaries in Hong Kong when he was very young. Wade and the band's original bass player Sergio Andrade, from the band's inception as BLYSS in 1996, met at a non-denominational church known as Vineyard in Malibu, Calif., and had an immediate bond through their Christian experiences as part of the church's youth and worship music groups.
Asked recently whether Lifehouse is a Christian band, Wade said that they don't like to be characterized as such, even though he is a Christian and his music is spiritual. Wade, who is a singer, a songwriter and the band's guitarist, got his first guitar when he was 12, the same year his parents split up and his mother introduced him to the music of the Beatles, which was a strong influence on his own work, as was the work of Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Paul Simon. From the beginning, Lifehouse built a strong following in Los Angeles, where they worked steadily.
Only weeks after their first album "No Name Face" debuted in 2000, they scored a top Billboard hit with "Hanging By A Moment." A second album, "Stanley Climbfall," came out in 2002 and their new eponymous album "Lifehouse" was released earlier this year.
You can write to Jason Wade c/o Geffen Records, 2220 Colorado Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90404, or click on "contact" at the band's website www.lifehousemusic.com.
