It is pity that the tour with Nickelback canceled...

I was so upset that the tour was canceled because I was so looking forward to seeing them this Saturday It's a bigger bummer to those involved with the tour, so I'm trying not to pout too much.

I just look at the original problem and shake my head: touring with Nickelback.
Of course I wish that guy the best, and wish everything was fine, but I'm still confused by this pairing to begin with. I'm sure you could pair any two random bands together and find some crossover of fans, but for the most part I just don't see enough between these two to put them on the road together.
I know they want to "reach a bigger crowd" or new fans or whatever the reason, but I just personally feel as if Lifehouse is still a big enough name with a big enough fan base to support their own headlining tour. Maybe they don't want to go back to the smaller venues they played back in the self-titled and WWA days, but I still think that's what they should have done. Now the whole situation is just unfortunate.

I think the whole idea of touring with them was to expose as many people as possible to the new album/the band in general, since they now no longer have the big label backing that they used to have. This obviously backfired by Chad Kroeger getting sick, and now they are basically not promoting the album at all in North America in the first few months of it coming out, which has to be a major blow to morale to the band. I feel really bad for them. You gotta imagine, they took a good 2 1/2 year break from everything, touring especially. And now they finally have this awesome new album and the general consensus is that it's ACTUALLY GOOD and their big North America tour falls through the day of the first show. That REALLY REALLY sucks. More for them than for Nickelback I would say. I hope they can pull some strings and at least manage a few shows here or there in the US before going to Europe, although it's probably unlikely given that venues will be nearly impossible to book at such short notice. Poor guys, really. Oh well, we will show them some love in Europe when they come out here.

klein you seem to post that as if you're saying something different than I did. I specifically said that I know they want to reach a bigger crowd, etc. I just was saying how the pairing made no sense to begin with. Also, you make it sound as if they had to do this since they're no longer with a big label to back them, but they did this same formula when they opened for Goo Goo Dolls and then for Daughtry. At least those pairings made a little more sense.
This is an unfortunate blow for Lifehouse and I also said I wish it didn't happen. It does suck. I simply added in my personal opinion that I feel as if this pairing didn't make sense from the start. That's all.
Hopefully they can pull something off still in NA before hitting Europe.

Really sucks seeing how dead all the hype is without a tour or a single doing well on the radio.
Seems like they just dropped off the face of the earth lately. Also, looks like they never even had any merch made for the now-cancelled tour; probably just had whatever was leftover from what they had available for preorders.
Very sad.

I think we will see things pick up once they head overseas.

Anybody going to the show in Utrecht (Netherlands)? I seem to have exhausted all my friends who would go to a Lifehouse concert with me.. So it looks like I will be going on my lonesome. I would love to meet up with anyone from the board
