What's with the clippety clomping sound on Along the Way? Ugh. Its really distracting and out of place in my opinion. And... I wonder why they took that bridge out? "Walking down this road... I've learned to let go... of what I know, cause everything can change again. I'm on the edge of all that could be... But what I can't control... Can't control my dreams." That is the heart of that song. Why take it out? I'm glad I'll always have the original. I feel like they are mocking the song with that arrangement. I had such high hopes for that song reimagined! I like Jason's vocal in general, but why are there like 3 Jason's singing this song? Its so odd. I love that song to death, though... and once again the lyrics hit me staight in the heart when I need it. I may not be the best judge...lol. I'm too partial to the original. Sounds like the Paper Cuts version of Wish may not be one of the songs we will be hearing anytime soon according to Twitter. Yeah I've been listening to it a lot today and some of the soul does seem to have been sapped out of it... and that bridge also had a welcome key change that left with it, so now the whole song feels a bit flat and repetitive. I think the percussion works okay, but in the first few bars it almost sounds like he's bouncing a basket ball three times out of beat. Does anybody else hear that? Strange how he says he might not be allowed, when Clarity was released and it was from the same project. Wish was re-registered to Castleview and Sony from I think G-Chills, which maybe has something to do with it? I just hope that Shiny Silver Beast doesn't have the same fate, since it was from around the same era. Also, he's working on a new What Happens Next!!!  |

Also weirdly, it seems that the next song is *not* Goodbye like it should be according to that tracklist, but track #9, 'Chapter Two'. Sounds SO GOOD in the 30 second preview. |

Chapter Two sounds awesome so far! Love that it actually does sound related to Chapter One.
Where did you find out he's working on WHN again? Could be great as a Jason solo, or even a bonus track or something for the Greatest Hits album! Either way I can't wait for that one too!
I just still need him to release a good version of The Edge & I'll be satisfied. Can't wait for the tour so I can continue asking him to play it every single time we meet!

He said so in a reply to someone on Twitter! And yes The Edge should be his #1 priority; he played the chorus during the 2015 Europe tour so it's still something he remembers. |

What tour did WHN first get played? My brain is a tad murky these days. I'm guessing it was self titled or WWA, right? I feel like I remember hoping it would be a bonus track for WWA but I might be way off.

I feel like I remember hoping it would be a bonus track for WWA but I might be way off. He only played it a few times in early/mid 2006. It was one of the breakup songs that I always figure culminated in Whatever It Takes. Around the same timeframe as I Want You To Know, sort of leading up to WWA as opposed to something like Georgianna which was coming off the ST. |

Agreed along the way sounds great Robert. On a separate note, I have been looking around to find out some new information and have just realized in the announcement post, Jason speaks about music every friday for the "foreseeable future" and says that paper cuts was the first project being released. Most likely meaning that there will be new music after all of paper cuts is released. Very exciting to think he may have another couple of unreleased albums that he will release. i'm not sure if everyone caught that or i was just not paying complete attention but i thought it may be worth sharing. Excited to see the rest of paper cuts and what will happen afterwards  Yeah that is exciting! There is more than Paper Cuts, so it seems. Or there will be in the future. Just found his website www.jasonwademusic.com, where he says the same thing. Btw, does the one-song-at-a-time-release thing mean that there will not be physical release? |

redrocker he doesn't say anything about a physical release so its uncertain whether he will or not. Maybe when all of paper cuts is released he will release it as a whole? only time will tell.
