If Climb is ever released I think I'd want it to be with Lifehouse rather than a Jason solo project; he clearly separates the pop-rock and singer-songwriter-acoustic-folk-pop between his band and personal work and I think Climb fits in with the former. Either way it's probably my #1 or #2 as well, that and May. The Edge isn't the deepest song ever but he also wrote it when he was 16 if memory serves, which I think is what I find so alluring. I also think the hook and melody are top-notch that one again is more Lifehouse than JW solo though, unless he surprises us and goes all-out rock on some of the new stuff. Wondering if he'll officially release some of the songs he wrote with Jude, like Don't Worry or Black and Blue. What Happens Next is confirmed, but I doubt it'll be first because it still hasn't been registered on BMI.

Those are excellent points, Carl. I guess my only counter in favor of getting Climb would be that we got Goodbye. That's not much of a counter though. I believe it was after the third album that there was talk of a b-sides album. Granted that was prior to bands moving towards deluxe versions of albums on iTunes to get more material out.
It's strange with Lifehouse. Bands like Pearl Jam have albums and albums worth of unreleased material just collecting dust, and we will probably never hear them. We have been very fortunate with Lifehouse because they seem to be of the belief that what you record-you release. So that belief plus what Jason is doing is really unique these days. I think we are pretty lucky in that regard. That also leads me to sadly think that if a proper studio version of Climb was recorded in the studio, and Jason was happy with it- we probably would have heard it by now.

I still hope for a studio version of "Winds of Change" that song means a lot to me. It's such a beautiful song. For some kind of reason i feel something when i listen to it.
With Paper Cuts we had a track list. Now we don't have anything. So it wil be a suprise were he's come up with, and how many songs.
Jason said about "Shiny Silver Beast" This was supposed to be part of a group of songs called “The Twisted Lullaby Project" that I never got to finish. Oke, he maybe never got to finish, but maybe he's releasing some songs from that project. We shall see where he come up with tomorrow.

It's just after midnight here in Australia and nothing has yet to appear as of yet on the iTunes Store at least. He's really keeping this release as a mystery 😂

No single this week per Jason. Some sort of delay. Hoping to be back next Tuesday.

It turns out the first song of these new batch of songs is a song titled Forever And Never and it's got a very country rock sort of sound going on. It sounds more fully produced similar to how Chapter Two was produced in a sense but still sounds like Jason's song writing we're used to. It's quite a solid song. I can't wait for what comes next or where this album takes us this time around.

I guess that's the benefit of doing everything in house.

It's available now as of today on iTunes and Google Play, at least here in Australia Forever and Never - Single by Jason Wade itun.es/au/Zk_blband on his topic YouTube channel youtu.be/RJRb_iHrZzY 😄 I'm guessing this was the song that was meant to be released 2 days ago but ended up getting released today

Ahhhhh! Just checked iTunes in America and there it is! Haven't bought it yet, but it sounds alright. Again, there's some mixing issues but I just expect that now. Is that the first banjo in a song since Breathing? Probably not, but that's the question I'm asking myself now.

Thought that part two of the summer solo series deserves a dedicated thread separate from Paper Cuts Forever and Never

I'm not going to lie, I'm really digging that take on Wish. I can't wait to hear the full thing. I'm a sucker for Jason doing layered vocals in the Elliott Smith style.
Central Park is very close to what we know. This is slightly slower by a couple beats per minute. Such an awesome song.
