Nice to know we can keep up to date with what's happening in his music career
Also, he just tweeted "Wow! i was just playing that song the other day in the studio" about The Edge. I could feel the message board just bursting since I know a lot of people on here love that song.

I hope that means he considers recording the Edge for his solo album! Maybe other songs we admire too

Yup! I've been DYING for him to do that song. I always find a way to mention it whenever I get to talk to him, made signs before....and finally got him to play a clip a few years ago for me back at HOB Cleveland. Couldn't be happier to at least know that he DOES remember that song and is at least re-learning to play it. Even if it never gets re-recorded, at least it looks like he might randomly play it.

2. Can we expect big things from your solo work?
- You can expect inspired songs
3. How often do you write?
- I try to write whenever I feel inspired. The minute it starts to feel manipulated... I go for a hike.
4. Where were you and what were you doing when you first heard your band's first release on the radio?
- We were in Jacksonville on our way to a gig when we first heard Hanging by a moment. We almost crashed the mini van!
5. What are your primary influences for this solo album?
- I'm really being inspired by film music, and anything that has an epic feel to it.
6. Favorite song to perform?
- Broken
7. Do you remember your first gig in UK?
- One of my best memories is a show at Shepherds Bush Empire.
8. How soon can we expect to hear your new music ? Anxiously awaiting and hoping it reminds us of classic No name face days!
- Some of the songs are reminiscent of No name face!
9. In "Somewhere in between" are you in the middle of What's real and what's a dream , or are you questioning what's real/dream ?
- Both
10. Ok I have to ask. How on earth do you remember who I am after 2.5 years? I think it's crazy!
- I remember faces... Just not all my own lyrics. Haha
11. Do you have a whole load of unreleased songs we've not heard?
- Yes
12. What's your favorite song from Almeria?
- Barricade
13. What did you think of Dexter's finale?
- I don't think he could have survived that hurricane! Wasn't crazy about it.
14. What was your favorite thing about Monterrey?
- the people

- I miss Australia soo much!
16. Will you be touring when you release your solo record?
- I plan on playing a lot of songs that I have never performed. New, old b-sides..

- Absolutely

Ahhhh.......(wait for it).......MAZING! So many thoughts running through my head right now. When Matt Nathanson goes on tour by himself, he plays some rare old songs (from what he can remember). Since Jason is actually re-learning his old songs....wow. I have high hopes. Hoping that in the future (after his first solo album or before) he can release a b-sides album of 'rare/unheard of and unreleased on anything before' album. Actually that should be the title  I don't mind him re-making some (like 2 if any) on his first solo album. I would rather hear brand new stuff and a b-sides album separate. He could do this! I just really want to hear how he would re-make Revolution Cry and The Edge....ahem **COUGH** Song For Pete**COUGH** lol |
