Haha, I'm gonna go against the flow... I really don't think much of "Falling in" (musically, but more lyrically, too cheesy for my taste), and I actually really really like HTGT. I think a music video for that one would be interesting too, it would be cool to see them pick up some energy in their videos again, like the live performance part of SCC. Just a cool thought...

I don't really have a preference cuz every song is so good, I just want the world to here something new from Lifehouse and the sooner the better. And I want to see another video and there's so much potential for cool videos with these songs. So, let's do this!  |

I went into my local CD shop and saw a 'USA' import Standard album version of Smoke and Mirrors. On it was a sticker that said "Features the hit singles Halfway gone, Nerve Damage, From Where You Are and All In'.... Did anyone else in the US get the album with this bright blue sticker on it. According to the sticker they have already picked out their singles...

I seriously doubt that, lol. I bought albums with stickers like that and some of the songs mentioned were never released as singles, so I think that's just for promotional purposes. However, it does seem like All In will be the follow up single.

I don't want it to be Here Tomorrow Gone Today because I feel like it would give the world the wrong impression of what Lifehouse is all about. I love the sound of the song, but it's not very characteristic of Lifehouse, and it would draw some people who wouldn't like any of their other stuff.

That's a really good point, sylviagrace. I love that song too, but people who normally like Lifehouse might not get it, lol. All In is the perfect choice for the end of spring/beginning of summer, I think.

While I love the energy of All In, especially live, I think it's a bit of a safe song musically. Which is why it would make a great single. Because it isn't complicated, it's a proven concept, it's something the band does well and can easily do over and over again (which is important because a single means promo, means a lot of playing it live and in-studio).

Seeming as Lifehouse are well known for their ballads and have scored big radio hits with them, I reckon it'll be "It Is What It Is". The track is already proving to be popular. I'd also like "Smoke & Mirrors" as a single.

I'd like "Smoke and Mirrors" too as a single, it's definitely one of my faves from the new album, but I think they're gonna go with All In or It Is What It Is. And out of those two, I like All In just a little bit better so I'm hoping to hear that one on the radio soon. |
