Forgive me if this thread's been made, couldn't find it myself! Now that they put up the contenders for the First Time cover contest, who do you guys like? I'm all into originality in renditions, my faves are: Ken Oak Band (vid2) Adi's Lifehouse (vid4) This one picks up real well in the chorus. I'm liking the chickified background vocals and vid effects. I like the 6th guy's down interpretation, though his vocals werent' as great. Or maybe it was just a bit loud on headphones. Most of the rest sounded like straight up covers to me, no offense in case anyone here is among the contenders. Everyone did good, it's not like I could do it or anything lol  . I'm real glad the guys actually shared all the vids like that . |

If they're looking for originality my vote is still for Meesh and Amanda, lol. I like how they made it so that you can watch the videos, but they said there were 35 submissions and they only had like 10 or so available to watch. Does that mean that they already weeded some out?

I vote for Kristi, Katie and Elissa - those girls are awesome  or Meesh and Ama - I'm happy with either! Half of those people aren't even eligible :/ It's a US only contest. As for the question about whether they've weeded them out yet; no, that's just how youtube set it up. It only allows them to show 12 at the bottom. |

WHAT?!?!  Where does it say that? Why do they have all countries listed then when you go to fill the "Agreement Form"? It's in the rules. cache.umusic.com/web_assets/lifehouse/lifehouseyoutuberules.htmWhen you sign the agreement, you also check a box that says you've read those rules. As for why there are other countries listed, I'm assuming it's a generic form. |

I swear I saw a vid of people that were from Sweden. Well they said they were "from sweden", not just happen to be born there and live in the States or anything. Perhaps the guys are just hosting international videos anyway, even if they can't really win the prize...

Most people seem to have no idea it's a US only contest; there are quite a few people in the contest not from the states. No one has weeded through any of the videos yet so anyone who sent in a video is up on the page right now.
