lol oh the sacrifices... I was supposed to go out with my mom last Tuesday night to the movies and what not and I was like "i... can't... I have people, they need me! LH needs me! this is a big day!". Not too mention the money spent on this damn GGD tour that the large majority doesn't even go to them.

kristi that is real good. you voiced pretty much everything i have to say...
i dunno, i think they $40 a year is ridiculous. any fan club with an annual fee i think it lame. they all ought to do it how AFI does it. it was $40, but its lifetime. and the guys dont always do meet and greets, so you can with those being a fan. and you get presale's to the presales. and you get a package with an exclusive shirt, buttons, poster, pins, patches, and a magazine subscription that the guys make that only DF (the clubs name) members get. and you also have access to a website where they post special videos of them on tour, or behind the scene things that only DF members can see, AND you get access into a store with a bunch of exclusive shirts, sweatshirts, and the like that no one else can order. AND on the message boards youre allowed into a section titled "ask afi" and you do pretty much what it says and they actually respond.
whew. if this fanclub was like that, id have noooooo problem shelling out $40.

Geffen's always been saying that they want to focus on the US market. So yeah, as long as I'm over here, i'm not gonna join that club, not really anything that would work for us non-Americans anyway.. ah well

i don't like this at all. lifehouse is selling out. and this made me realize that half the reason i love them so much is because i have been able to pay $20-30 to see them at a club, get there early and get front row, then hang out and talk with them after. but now we have to pay to do what we've been able to do for the past 4+ years? if that is the case, my love for them is going to drop. i'll still enjoy the music, but the whole experience won't be the same. thanks, lifehouse.

I fear Lifehouse has very little to do with it. It's pretty much Geffen doing this, I assume. So, in addition: start sarcasmThanks, Geffen, you guys made my dayend sarcasm

I've been trying not to think about it too much because there've been people here all day, but goddamn... A few quick comments from me... www.sweet-catastrophe.com/how-to-support-a-band/Really Geffen. You may get some money out of this, but you're ruining an amazing band. This upsets me so much because I don't think Geffen cares anyway. If all this leads to the end of Lifehouse, it means nothing to them. They'll get a chunk of money out of it and move on to the next artist.
