Wherever you go was a big hit in aussie land and I have their first album. I will have to check out Alex Band's solo stuff. I also think he has a great voice. I like the deep voices for rock bands/arist but Jason has the best voice of all!

The first time I saw Lifehouse in concert was in 2001 and The Calling opened up for them. It was one of the best concerts I've been to.. I had never really heard of TC but became a big fan after that show. Glad to hear the good news.

He probably only said that because he is a Geffen artist now.

He probably only said that because he is a Geffen artist now. Could be, but then again, there are plenty of other Geffen artists he could've chosen

And it's not like it's a site run by Geffen... it's a fansite - they could really care less if he pimps geffen or not and the fact that he mentioned a specific song certainly means something.

True. I just don't like Alex Band. And it's not like it's a site run by Geffen... it's a fansite - they could really care less if he pimps geffen or not and the fact that he mentioned a specific song certainly means something.

Dude, that's pretty cool. I'm glad they have gotten over that rough patch. That's good to hear.

What happened between Lifehouse and the Calling? I'm a newer fan (the LH self-titled cd finally won me over) so I probably missed it. ok I never heard about this either Someone please explain? Should I feel bad to have Camino Palmero and Two?

I don't remember exactly, but he said something like Lifehouse takes themselves too seriously and their songs all sound the same. This was a few years ago and it was pretty insulting considering that a lot of people discovered the Calling because of them opening for Lifehouse.

i thought it also had something to do with Rick's brother Sean leaving the Calling and then joining LH???

It had EVERYTHING to do with that. Things were said on both sides ... and it was really hard to be a fan of both of them at the same time back then. BUT it's over now (apparently) so let's not rehash the whole thing (not that I remember the whole thing... I wish I knew where those articles were).

I think when you cut all the crap down off it, it came down to them being young, talented bands from the same area, that had a hit pretty much at the same time, getting big, pretty much at the same time, and they were sort of competitors. And with all the crap going on between them and then Sean switching from TC to LH it didn't really make things any better. But yeah, it's really good to see that apparently things have settled down and they've grown over it.
