Artist - The Hush Sound Album - Goodbye Blues Release Date - March 18, 2008 I was extremely excited to hear this album. The band released their single, Honey, and another song, Medicine Man, on their myspace. I had been living off those songs for several weeks...they sounded amazing with an old jazzy, ragtime type feel. I have to say the rest of the album doesn't disappoint. The theme is coated with the outline of a train traveling through meadows and the songs all carry that feel of a song to sing while taking a trip somewhere. The vocals and instruments have grown so much since their second album, Like Vines. I highly recommend you take a listen. My only disappointment was that Bob only sings 3 songs on the album and Greta sings 9 with a instrumental interlude inbetween. I love both of their voices and loved the fact that on Like Vines they were dead even with writing and singing. Though on So Sudden, their first album, Bob did most of the singing, so i guess it all evens out. Rating: 9.8/10

the hush sound has been under my radar for a while now, but i just never felt like giving them a listen because of the other bands they get grouped with. so yeah, i gave the album a listen and the music is pretty upbeat cabaret. I wasn't spoiled cuz i never went on their myspace, so i was really pleased in the first 5 tracks, then bob came and i was like 'ewww.' I hate his voice. but their medley are pretty clever. The album didn't end to my satisfaction. like i'm not sure, i just wanted something that make me go 'the end.'
i give it a 7/10 favorite track: the boys are too refined
