Mcfly
If you have never heard of this fantastic band from the UK they are truly awesome. They have just released a greatest hits album. Some may call them tacky but I think that they are at least credible enough to sing along to and they write their own music and play their own instruments. What more could you want?
They have three studio albums out.
Room on the 3rd Floor: Is beach boyresque with catchy beach tunes and awesome guitar riffs. Definitely worth checking out (5 colours in her hair, that girl, Not Alone, obviously and room on the 3rd floor)
Wonderland: Is more darker and this is the definite highlight album out of the three. I'll be ok, I wanna hold you, too close for comfort and i've got you , ballad of paul k, ultraviolet are awesome standouts. THere is not one track here that you will want to skip. It is brilliant!
Motion In The Ocean: A more upbeat album with awesome songs reminiscent of the days of Queen with don't stop me now. Great guitar hooks on songs such as Please Please, Star Girl, and some more American flavoured songs like Home is where the heart is and Walk in the Sun.
Who says music can't be cheeky, fun and serious all at the same time? Have a listen to 'The heart never lies' and 'Too close for comfort'.
Mcfly are similar to the Beatles of the 21st Century.
I love it. Give it a go.
