Everyone's In Everyone (2007)
Patrick Park
1. Life Is A Song
2. Time For Moving On
3. Here We Are
4. Stay With Me Tomorrow
5. Arrive Like A Whisper
6. Nothing's Lost
7. Pawn Song
8. Saint With A Fever
9. One Body Breaks
10. There's Darkness
11. Everyone's In Everyone
Patrick Park debuted on the scene with his debut album "Loneliness Knows My Name". This young Colorado native has a voice that is more mature than you'd expect. It's the voice of an experienced and seasoned veteran, both musically and when it comes to life's choices.
You can see this reflect also in Patrick's well-chosen lyrics. Reminiscent of Elliot Smith, Leonard Cohen, & even Bob Dylan in his glory days. These are all people that Patrick Park's been compared to. But that doesn't do justice to the music. Patrick makes his music sound like just that, HIS music.
With many singer/songwriter's out there these days it is hard for one to break through with something that is actually unique. Patrick Park seems to be one of the exceptions. Where "Loneliness Knows My Name" was a rough gem with beautifully composed, almost folky pop/rock, "Everyone's In Everyone" is yet another step forward. With this growth, Patrick is probably one of the top singer/songwriters in the world, competing in the same league as Josh Ritter, Ryan Adams, & Ingram Hill. (not a coincidental that their sounds all classified in the same folky pop/rock genre).
There's a deeper wisdom and strength in the music and lyrics of these artists and it is not only skillfully composed, but also skillfully performed. When Patick Park sings his song, you can feel it in your bones and it will hit you deep inside.
genre(s): folk-pop-rock
recommended tracks: Life Is A Song, Here We Are, Arrive Like A Whisper, Nothing's Lost, Saint With A Fever, There's Darkness
