Wasteland is my #3 Lifehouse's album. It captures almost everything from their career. But thinking optimistically... If Lifehouse finally release a new album, what would you like to listen from them? I really would like something a little likd sweet delirium from øzwald and highways and low days from the solo stuff. Some songs on sweet delirium (if you put out Steve's voice) are perfect Lifehouse's kind of tracks. What do you think they could sound like in new material?

Wasteland is my #3 as well, after No Name Face and Who We Are. I completely agree Luiz; some of the Ozwald songs can totally be Lifehouse tracks, especially from the 2001-2004 pre-yellow era with the Beatlesey sound (Sweet Delirium reminds me of Everybody is Someone, and Far Be It From Me sounds like Goodbye in some ways). I know in concerts, Jay has been leaving Bryce to sing the harder vocals on songs like the Joke and Anchor, so I doubt they'd go for hard rock at this point. I'm interested in hearing them experiment with more genres under the Lifehouse name; imagine hearing Bryce and Ricky on something like Voyage of the Underling or Technicolour Sky. What a combo!
I heard Jay mention in an interview that Born in a State was more Steve's project that he just helped record, so I'm not concerned that this is Jason's new musical direction haha... far be it from me to say.

It makes sense that Born In A State is a Steve's project. Just three songs sound really solid. And I imagined Voyage of the underling with the rest of the guys. This song live would be rad (like Steve likes to say 😂)

The tour news should be very welcome news around these parts today. I’m not sure if it means new music is coming too (I wouldn’t be shocked if it were) but this is a good tour for them right now I wish this were the proposed tour when promoting Wasteland and not with Nickleback.

Agreed. Nickelback never made sense, and in retrospect I feel like that tour falling apart was the straw to break the camel’s back at that time.
Although I agree it makes sense, I still wish 2020 had been with MB20. I can’t stand GGDs these days.
Excited nonetheless!

I know there’s obviously a lot of serious things going on in the world, but I hope another Lifehouse tour doesn’t become a casualty of this horrible situation too.
I hope everyone on here is doing well and stays healthy!

A billboard article article with Jason reflecting on HBAM and Lifehouse's history came out and one part that popped out at me was that Jason said "It’s so interesting now, going into 2020 -- this is our 20th year as a band, and we were going to do a kind of relaunch of the No Name Face record, which came out 20 years ago in October. Though we’re not sure if what’s gonna happen now [with everything going on in the world]. "

Yeah I saw this too. I hope relaunch means that they do like a new rendition of No Name Face tracks, like how Snow Patrol did with their Reworked album. If they do that, that would be really cool. Whatever it is, I'm excited! Also hoping that they tease with new songs or even a new album

Did you guys see the new song from Jason? That looks a lot Lifehouse like. Could they make a version of that together?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwTX41_Aszw Have any of you guys seen this interview? This is actually my first listening to how Steve got into the band. Pretty cool that he was actually a big fan of Lifehouse. Also, I was actually looking forward to the interviewer asked about Lifehouse's future but there are no questions like that. I guess Jason are pretty busy with the Ozwald project and collab with other writers as of now

I think a lot of us may be envious now. There have been so many interviews about the early few years of the band that I was hoping to hear a bit more about the later albums and how Jason views them with hindsight, but there were some interesting tidbits about how pivotal Jude was early on (I didn't realize that) and how favourably he views Ron Aniello and John Alagia as producers. I also didn't know the history of his youth pastor, pretty crazy (and explains some of the early songs in a new light (Only One and Midnight in Philly perhaps?). I was also pretty surprised at how he perceived the response to Out of the Wasteland! He said it tanked after a week or something, and with the tour getting cancelled it was almost like he thought fans weren't as fussy on it, somehow. Maybe it explains why they've boycotted all the songs from it the last few years in concert?

A little sad hearing this.

Jason and Steve did a Reddit AMA for Ozwald ( link). And someone asked about Lifehouse. Jason's reply was " We'll be playing Lifehouse shows as soon as we can, I have 6 new Lifehouse songs that are completely finished, probably finish the record next year sometime."
