WOW I never in a million years thought I'd hear this song see the light of day. It never felt like Lifehouse, but it sure feels like Ozwald. Love the vocal repetition in the 'nothing's gonna change' and the falsetto throughout!! Took the words right out of my mouth. Never thought this would see the light of day because it just never felt like a Lifehouse song.

Looks like we have a tracklist for For Polly Anna out in a few weeks – ten songs like Born In A State. Perhaps they're doing a 12-10-12-10 pattern? They mentioned that this is a concept album of sorts, and if For Polly Anna is any indication, this might be another dad album à la the self-titled sessions. Very much interested in hearing the whole story and remaining four tracks. Song titles are as follows: - For Polly Anna [single 1]
- Fair Thee Well [single 2]
- Aunt Amelia [single 3]
- Mt. Hood [single 4]
- The Weatherman
- Cheap Champagne [single 6]
- Same Same
- P.H. Dean (A Co-Dependent Love Song) [single 5]
- The Alibi
- 10PM at the Greyhound Station
Out December 18th!

So has anyone listened to the latest album?
I really like this record. It's up there with Head Movies for me. I was expecting a different sound for this album since IIRC they said they were planning to being more experimental with the album. There are some new instruments I've noticed but it's essentially still Ozwald sound. That said, I really dig it.
My fav tunes so far are - For Polly Anna, Aunt Amelia, The Weatherman (sounds like a Lifehouse song really), PH Dean and 10 pm.
Anyway, I asked them about Jason's second demo and Steve mentioned it's going to be released next year.

I liked the album, but it's just ok. Some good tunes. Sweet Delirium is still my favorite and Head Movies is still the 2nd. And I'm beginning to get bored with Øzwald, but I'm fan of Jason and would listen to anything he releases 😂😂😂 missing Lifehouse

Øzwald’s fifth LP has been announced.. the title track to. ‘Young Suburban Minds’ is out now. This one has a bit more of a Beach Boys vibe to it, pretty fun.

Listening to the new Øzwald stuff and I'm like "well ok". I'm realy hyped for at least a new single from LH guys. Øzwald should pause for us to miss them a little. They sound more and more forgettable releasing that much. But the album is a 4/5. It's not a sweet delirium, but it's good. Specially stayin' young.

ØZ6 is beginning... 'Arthur Ingram' is the first single. Not a massive shift for the band, but definitely breaking some new ground. More melodic, bopping, and a little darker than the brighter and beachier Young Suburban Minds, which was probably my favourite of the Øz records other than Sweet Delirium. I also do love the cover art.

New album title and release date: ‘Artificial Odyssey’ comes out Christmas Eve, December 24th. Curious to see where this one heads… I find Øzwald albums easier to listen to in sequence than just playing one-off tracks so I haven’t heard either of the singles much so far. The title is mighty intriguing though:)

New single - Fall, Fall, Fall
This sounds nothing like Øzwald. Even the vocals sound a bit different? I really like this a lot. Probably the one I like the most amongst all the singles they've released for this record.

New single - Fall, Fall, Fall This sounds nothing like Øzwald. Even the vocals sound a bit different? I really like this a lot. Probably the one I like the most amongst all the singles they've released for this record. This is one of my favourites too. They just promoted an article about the song that said it was written a long time ago "for a side project", which is interesting. I wonder if it predates Ozwald entirely? I've purposely been avoiding listening to the new songs too much until the full album comes out, because I find Oz songs tend to sound best as a set. Young Suburban Minds has been one of my favourite album releases of 2021 by any artist, but it took listening to the whole thing to get there. Fall, Fall, Fall though... that's a special song (also closing the album apparently).

Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate! Øzwald's sixth album Artificial Odyssey is out today – five songs that have yet to be released, and eight songs I had yet to hear haha. Fall, Fall, Fall is my favourite of the bunch still, but there are some good ones in here. Gepetto and Frankly Valley are two standouts of the new songs to me (very Beatles meets Beach Boys), along with These A Eyes being a little more Lifehousey if not for the percussion. The lyrics to These A Eyes are quite moving actually... quite like that one too. Arthur Ingram is a solid opener as well. How does everyone who's into Ozwald like it?
Also should not overlook that Steve Stout's debut album Dairy Made came out last week, and on first listen it's quite good! Typical laid-back Steve vibes, a little lighter than Ozwald stuff and I like hearing his voice on his own. Definitely into it – Enjoy Your Stay is my favourite song of the group.

Oh yes, I love Gepetto and Frankly Valley too. More of the Same, It Never Hurts and Fall, Fall, Fall are other highlights from me. I like how they do something different in Lab Rats: White Coats. Actually, there are no songs that I'd skip in this album. After few rounds of listen, I'd rank Artificial Odyssey no 2 after Head Movies.
My rank of Ozwald's albums thus far 1. Head Movies 2. Artificial Odyssey 3. Sweet Delirium 4. Born In A State 5. young suburban minds 6. For Polly Anna
Born In A State is a grower. I didn't like the album that much on my initial listen, but after a while I've grown to like the record. Even song like Wasting Time and Too Clever. Too Clever might be their top 5 songs for me. Personally, I feel Born in A State is best listened as a white noise, something you listen when you're focusing doing work or something else.
I gave Steve's album a try and there's a few that I like - Exit/In, Enjoy Your Stay and Nyquill Dreams. I like Make Your Mine but the repeating chorus is a bit too much IMO.
